You're allowed to do those things and if that's your jam then you can do so, but it diminishes your own chances of winning, and so you'll probably be stuck in bronze or maybe silver with that sort of approach. It might feel selfish, but really you're essentially just gifting the enemy team relatively easy wins, which is more a weird form of altruism than selfishness.
