Finished my placements! (Thoughts and such)

So, unlike what I've seen, I'll post this in light of my placements:

Last season I finished gold 4 on a loss-heavy record. I had about 10 more losses than wins, so I kinda saw this coming. I'm hoping to make a climb from where I placed, Silver 1. Though I have to admit, most of my placements I played solidly, I know where I could improve.

If I'm meant to be gold or higher, I'll get there! Already made a climb from bronze 5 once, so I'm sure I can make it!

See this is what someone who finishes there placements should look like ahha. Placements are a time for learning.

Exactly! Don't tilt from them, learn from them. It's how you improve as a player in general.

Yup. Silver 1 with 25 point gains (won my first match outside of placements).

Dafuq is this system lol. I have a positive win/loss ratio on my game, won 9-1 placement games and got placed silver 5 (from gold 5). It sounds to me as you have to be silver 4.

Well, here's the thing: I ended on a 10 loss deficit, so I expected it. 3 matches after placements I'm already at 77 points (no losses). If you're meant to be there, you'll be there. But if not, fighting out isn't really hard.

What bothers me is that you got Silver 1 XD. With a negative ratio, dunno how your placements went (i'd guess 8-2) but i got 9-1 and got a division down. It so strange how the system works.

I'm pretty sure if you give ranked some time to wait, you'll be able to make it out. Right now it's a scramble of everyone. Wait for a bit and claw out when everyone else who's on edge is gone!

Placements are a time to claw you own eyes out because your mid, top, and jungle all fed 5 kills in the first 10 minutes, making the game completely unwinnable. Then the entire enemy team comes to your lane and gang-bangs you, despite the fact that you are actually holding your own, or perhaps even winning lane.

It's been the opposite for me, actually. It's been more like losing for the first few, then come back to win it while telling my team there's a shot. You gotta keep patient and positive and get what you can, otherwise the match is lost before you can even hit 20. Finish the games out, don't worry about a few deaths. If you can get an advantage and roll with it, chances are you can roll it straight to the enemy nexus.
