why does thresh hook still HOOKS after I dash out of the way

this makes no fucking sense. I was graves. thresh support. I swear i literally. E perpendicular TO THRESH HOOK. and I still get grabbed. can you fix this bullshit?

If it hooked you it's because you weren't out of the way.

if there is one thing about blitzcrank hook that never happened to me. blitz never grabbed me after i dashed out of the way. and trust me blitz is way more picked and i face against in lower elo than thresh.

there isn't any better way to dash. other than perpendicular to the hook. and I still get grabbed after making it to the max distance of the dash. i mean wtf.

There are three possibilities that I see here. The first is that you started slightly to the left of the hook, dashed right, and were caught in the middle. The second is that it caught you as the dash animation was beginning; your dash goes through, but the tether doesn't break and the little tugs still happen. The third, patronizing as it may seem, is that you're simply mistaken about how well you dodged the hook. Any of these are possible and all of them would result in you getting hooked.
