I know Riot doesn't care about Twisted Treeline, but some things need to be addressed.

Yes, we all know Summoner's Rift is Riot Games' poster child and golden boy, with champions, summoner spells, and item cooldowns being balanced around the 5v5 map play. However, Twisted Treeline is unsatisfying to play for a number of reasons.

1.) The main issue is Botting, where people send unskilled, uncooperative "players" into matchmade games just for the sake of leveling up an account. Since the removal of Dominion, the already existing problem in Twisted Treeline has gotten worse. By itself, it wouldn't be too bad. You'd lose a game every now and then due to this, but it's made aggravating by the second problem:

2.) The surrender function in Twisted Treeline is unfair. As it stands a 2-to-1 surrender vote doesn't pass for whatever reason. In most other systems, a majority rule vote is passed. The fact that either a salty, uncooperative teammate, or a bot that never communicates or votes in any capacity, can ruin a game for two other people is simply absurd. If the botting problem is too large a task to effectively handle, I'd say that this change would be the one to make.

3.) Stealthed units/nuisances. Not just Teemo or Twitch, but stealthed traps. The lack of a greater amount of true vision makes going through the jungle a hassle. It's easy as hell for an AP Shaco to cheese with a nest of boxes, or for a Teemo to make engaging or disengaging in the jungle aggravating. While this isn't as critical a problem as the others, and one people will more than likely disparage me for while saying "lrn 2 play", it is still an issue due to the removal of the items Lightbringer and Hextech Sweeper. I suggest giving Oracle's Elixir a return.

tl:dr: either make bots less prevalent, or let 2 people bring the game to a surrender

Let's get a discussion going on this!

I think the bigger issue is how snowbally 3v3 is right now and how hard comebacks can be. TT has always been a snowbally game mode, but these days most games are decided before I barely even finish Cinderhulk, which is ridiculous. I feel like the game is almost completely out of my hands and there's little I can actually do to stop the tide once it gets rolling. Conversely, winning in this manner isn't fun at all, at least for me. I actually enjoy fighting the opponents, rather than just stomping them in a one-sided fashion.

Only the team with the lead, however slight, gets to have "fun" while the opposition can do nothing but turtle at the base, since towers will not protect them from anything and going into the jungle when behind is incredibly risky most of the time (for most champions). Waiting for the opponent to make a mistake seems to be the most effective strategy when behind, which can get hairy when playing with pugs (while simultaneously being pitted against premades, which happens often with me for reasons).

Personally, I would like the altars to be changed or removed, because that 10% MS bonus only serves to make countering snowballing more difficult than it already is. Wouldn't mind seeing either gold flow increased or TT-exclusive gold gain items added either, to help keep the playing field even against teams with an overwhelming early advantage. The jungle is also way too easy to manage, which ends up making strong ganking junglers the only ones with worth picking aside from running a support/carry comp.

Hey, thanks for fostering conversation about this topic! I hadn't realised that this was a problem in TT, so thanks for bringing it to mine and everyone's attention.

I know what you mean, too. Sometimes, it feels like if your team isn't up to snuff, you either get dove in lane or the entire team catches you out in your jungle when all you wanted to do was farm to get yourself up to fighting form. There definitely needs to be more solo-carry opportunities or comeback potential.

It's not so much about solo carrying. I would like to see most matches be less binary. The majority of the time, 3v3 games feel like you either stomp or get stomped, which generally starts in the first 10 minutes of the game.

It's like the polar opposite of Ascension or Dominion, where most matches are pretty close.

I mean...you're mostly right, but you are leaving out the context that it's infinitely easier to stall with good waveclear. The inhib turret bottleneck is real, and the turrets are really strong. The nexus turret is impossible to tank.

Personally, I don't find it that difficult to end games once you get a lead going, it's not like there's much the opponent can really do about it (unless your comp has zero synergy for some reason). Post-10 minutes everyone dives, especially if someone got fed.
