Suggestion: Bronze Tooltips
Lately, I've been warding like I have an addiction and the only solution is more vision. I've taken to heart all the other tips people give low ELO players like myself, but had been a little lacking on warding until recently. Yet this change has only served to highlight how allergic bronze players are to warding on the whole. My last match I supported as Sona. They had Yi, Jinx, Ashe, Nid, and Thresh, so no one especially tanky, meaning they'd want to end it quickly and that them going all out for kills would come as no surprise. So they started roaming in packs and picking us off. Simple solution to that, right? Group together ourselves and do this silly foreign thing called warding. But did they ever learn? No, and we lost with the warding totals being me, 19, and the rest of them combined, 25. When I said after the game that we should've warded more, our jungler just said "lol that's cute" like I was silly for even suggesting it. And when I said warding can mean the difference between victory or defeat, depending upon how much you do it, the ADC on the other team said clearly it doesn't, not seeming to understand it was the primary reason why they kept catching us out of position. Well, that and our team sucking at positioning period. A fed Ashe and her support at our turret with only me to defend? No, Skarner, just stay hidden in the bushes... even when I ult them... at turret.
If you're simply bad at the game, or make a stupid mistake here and there (I made plenty in that loss), that's one thing. I can forgive that. It's the tendency bronze players have to be completely oblivious to what's bashing them bloody in the head that angers me about bronze. People talk about how you should try and be the coach of your team, but that would mean your team actually listening to you, which seems rare no matter how you go about it. Maybe Riot should introduce tooltip pop-ups in bronze in an attempt to train the stupid out of some players. Just got ganked because you pushed too far without even a single ward placed? "Um, perhaps next time ward?" Did it happen again? "Yo, before you blame your jungler cause 'camped' and 'no help,' try warding!" I mean, it couldn't really hurt.
