After repeated nerfs Rek'sai's become a shell of a champion

Her theme's really cool but translates poorly into gameplay after Riot outright gutted her fighter play style and turned her into a competitive knockup bot.

It's really saddening how being strong in competitive play can outright ruin a champion (see Azir and Kalista) I'm inclined to believe that she'd soon be fit for a rework since everything cool and unique about her is being repeatedly nerfed to the point of her just building full tank and pressing W.

Kinda sad, and hell, I don't even play the champion :/

I don't even know what she is anymore. She hardly has any damage after all the nerfs, she only has one form of CC (which got nerfed considerably since release), her mobility has been nerfed a lot, and just recently her unique mechanic was also nerfed.

Not enough CC to be a tank, not damaging enough to be anything else. I use to like taking her top...but I have long since abandoned that.

300 damage Q pre 6 is hardly any damage? With hydra she destroys squishies in seconds. One form of CC? MasterYi Katarina please.. Nerfed mobility? Still one of the best in the game.

You build bruiser/tank stats on her and that's why she sucks in the damage department. Riot made sure that bruisers or tanks building damage don't have better stat efficiency than pure damage builds.

Perhaps if you revised your builds and built damage, you'd have a different result.

strongly disagree as a malz main before rework. Hes pretty trash and the only good thing he got from the rework was his passive and honestly I could live without esp since they nerfed it into the void anyways.

Considering that us, the actual player base, just takes builds and the meta straight out of LCS and don't have any of our own builds/play styles, Riot balancing for LCS is actually indirectly balancing for us as well.

She just has nothing to offer in Solo Queue now unless you're as coordinated and skilled as pros. Literally everything about her has been nerfed just because she brings what pros want to the table - good clear, early ganks, vision control, mobility - her damage has been literally cut in half across the board, and her cooldowns and tunnels have been nerfed heavily as well. There are plenty of other junglers that dominate/are strong in both Solo Queue and Pro Play (Nidalee, Gragas, Elise comes to mind), and they haven't been nerfed nearly as heavily. Just feels like Riot has it out for ol' Rek at this point and I feel sorry for her mains.

well she got a "buff" but her early clear was nerfed pretty hard with AA reset removals. Her early clear is a fair bit weaker which makes her early ganking pattern weaker which cleans up a lot of her problems - the buffs were compensation.

She still dominates though as her mobility and burst are clearly above a lot of other jungles as she can start her battle at range and finish it up in melee without much problem. Plus her jungle defense and ability to invade is so strong still so i doubt the AA reset really hurt her that bad really.

it hurts her early clear's HP totals which makes invading or ganking early more dangerous for Nidalee. I don't think they wanted to remove her ability to clear effectively after first/second clear, but they wanted to cut her ability to clear 2 camps while taking almost no damage due to her ability to quickly dump damage in cougar form and then DPS during those shorts windows with a combination of AA resetting and kiting. Now she relies more heavily on kiting to keep her first clear healthy, which slows it down, or she can sacrifice health to clear more quickly which makes ganking/invading more risky.

Seems like they didn't want to kneecap her right before Worlds, but they wanted to give her clearer weaknesses early (since Nidalee already has the potential to fall off late in comparison to a lot of junglers who can provide tankiness or more reliable assassination to the team).

As I said in another thread, Rek'sai's design is one of the most unfortunate in League. What she offers is fucking huge in professional and very high elo play, and because of that she is forced to be utter dog shit for everyone else because if she was allowed to so much as do damage she'd be ridiculously OP where she is already one of the best junglers.

In all fairness, a mobile ward that can farm the jungle and knock up multiple enemies at once, not to mention she can return to places she's already been to really quickly.

A lot of her power budget is in gathering information, but it's not like that only what she does; it's just that it's so much that when you lack the ability to make full use of it, she becomes dramatically weaker as she loses most of her advantages.

If she had mana costs then her overground Q and E wouldn't even be worth using at all anymore, at this point she only uses abilities aside from her knockup/teleport because she CAN. If they would just substantially nerf her early game knockup (or even remove it entirely) and as an exchange bring back her original fighter/assassin playstyle that she was meant for, I would be happy.

Without the knockup Rek'Sai would just be another damage without CC champion, and those need extreme survival mechanics or steroids. She would need major major buffs in every ability.

She doesn't need the CC removed entirely, it could be a brief root or even a heavy slow (maybe make the area she emerges in unstable and slows/applies grounded effect) but the pros have shown that the knockup is strong enough to use early level summoner 4 for and I absolutely despise Rek'Sai being played as a flash-popup bot when her kit and thematic could be so much more.

I kind of understood azir and kalista, they have always been kind of toxic champions in all Levels of play. reksai has never deserved this many nerfs.

Yeah i was okay with all her previous nerfs even though it did take her out of the top best jungle champ but this nerf to tunnel and her ult is just too much.

Yet she has been played in so many LCS games its ridiculous. She isn't a shell of a champion but she isn't a carry either. Rek requires a team and teamwork to be efficient. If every person on your team is on the same patch, ganks, objectives, etc. she is very strong. Without it, she can feel weak. It isn't the champion, I know that for sure. RekSai

Though even in those circumstances she only works in LCS and pro games due to certain meta picks at the moment. If they messed with picks a little more there are tons of champs who would mess up the dynamic of Rek.

Sure she isn't weak, i can agree with you there but by god.. she is near pointless to use in soloq. I also heard from a friend who use to main her that the major reason he stopped playing her was her clear felt so slow now. Maybe they can nerf her mobility but give her back a little clear speed. Either way i miss seeing Rek picked in game.

reksais is just one of those champions I just dont understand. Reksai for the most part has the kit of a bruiser, but her damage output is really bad. But her cc engage is what Id expect from a tank..and honestly I hardly see her anymore. But when I do its like all defense Items and then maybe one ad health item. So she just confuses me. Dont know if shes in a good spot or not but I know in cardboard V I see her like maybe once every few months.

Reksai does two things NO other Jgler can't... Teleport... and See thru the fog without a ward. Her kit needs to be balnced around that... She jg's fast as hell, moves across the map like no other jgler only rivaled by TF, she has built in wave clear which 0 Jglers have outside of her and her alone.

If u see her as a knock up bot u have problems... her problem is and always will be her pressence and that's what they will focus on, forcing her to build into a tank spec is better than letting some creepy sand shark waltz in and one shot everything around her like on release date. She is basically Shyvanna with a teleport and a psuedo stun and must be kept in check.

The most concerning thing for me in Reksai kit is he True Damage E and it's interaction with her own fury, overall the skill is a waste and I question why it exists in her kit at all. The benefits of having a true damage skill is wasted by its insane CD and necessity to build fury first which got gutted from her Q cause her burrowed Q was "too strong". If Anything I Just wish they'd rework her unburrowed E into something else that isn't non auto attack damage.
