If you gave people triple LP loss or even drop them a full division (Say Gold 3 to Gold 4) if they afk in a ranked match, I assure you afkers would be significantly more rare.

but to do that on a player that maybe happen to just afk one time is a bit extreme? now if they are found to afk enough to be punished , then maybe make it where even for a win they dont gain LP? for maybe says at least 3 games.... ?

And lest we forget, not everyone can have a stable connection. It´s a pretty unpredictable thing, so punishing AFKs this hard would certainly not be the way to solve the issue. If anything, it might generate an even worse problem.

Although for trolls and intentional feeders i am fully accepting of such harsh punishment. For AFKs however, like i said, it´s a rather difficult thing to apply.

Say for example one AFKs not by choice but due to a unexpected power outtage, or loss of connection not related to his network card/computer. He's now several LP or a division lower because of a factor or a myriad of factors he couldn´t control.

i agree... afks are harder to deal with... there is a difference between leaving a game /rage quit and legit connection issues and i think that should be taken into account. i never report someone who legits lags and DCs but if someone rage quits your bet your ass i do. that is a clear difference. but people always wanna blame riot for things riot has no control over. i get it , it sucks it ruins the game but to say RIOT is at fault for it is kinda dumb. now RIOT maybe not pull the trigger fast enough on toxic people or trolls. and it takes time to build evidence to make it justified to punish/ban those people but it does happen we see post after post about people crying about getting perma ban etc.

They can roll back people who boost. they have that power. People boost to an elo theyre not good enough to play at. They take away lp that that player didn't deserve

it wouldn't fix the issue of afkers, but it would get rid of people like me raging about it on the boards.

They could even implement a catch to it to keep people from abusing it... where if your duo leaves you cant not lose lp

well if people are boosted they will lose enough mmr / lp on their own to get knocked back to where they are suppose to be

but in the end the lost of lp due to afks balance out over a course of a season... you arent the only player to ever lose LP to afks

My boyfriend climbed up to silver 2, was accused of boosting and they placed him in bronze and suspended his account for a week.

They have the ability to just move you to a whole new division if they want to. Im just asking to go back to b4.

but in the end the lost of lp due to afks balance out over a course of a season... you arent the only player to ever lose LP to afks

that's assuming that afks and trolling occurs in only a small percentage of my games. Just today 80% of games played by me had an afk and in one an afk and a troll. If one day is indicative of the rest of my time spend playing league, that statement would be absolutely false.

maybe when they see something irregular on his game history... like 500 games bronze 3 then boom 1 week silver 2 then someone played on his account and/or he used scripts/hacks

you refer to boosting as people who are playing with others and being carried... that person being carried game stats dont change like night to day in a few games. there is a clear difference

he didn't though. I played with him for some of the games. I saw a graph of his elo. It was a steady increase and then boom 1000 lp gone when he got reported for boosting or whatever and rito said "nope fuck you blue"

why cant they do the same thing for me here. why cant they look at my stats and say "he wins he loses, he wins he loses he wins acouple loses a couple he may be steadily dropping slightly, then all of a sudden he just loses 140 lp in a day and on that day in 80% of his games there was a player reported for afk on his team... lets give him back the lp he lost"?

Ive made like 4 threads on it today. Rito does dick to help though. They can roll back ranked stats on boosters. Roll my fucking stats back up. Or at least give me some rp. This was hours wasted today.
