Ekko Support Theorycrafting
I have been experimenting with using
as a support in games because of the ton of CC that he gets on his kit. Plus his ultimate gives you a good disengage on small skirmishes which will usually mean that your ADC or laner you are helping will get the kill. I build him tanky and his Q allows him to apply continual pressure throughout the early game.
Concentrate on trying to poke the enemy ADC and Support early game and use
to ensure some nifty heals for your ADC while in lane. Use your Q to poke the enemy support (This particularly works well against the "King of Supports" -
- PLUS your E gives you a good counter to his hook, ensuring that using it on you is wasted.) An ADC with some mobility like
and
will work really well with Ekko against such champs as
and
.
I find that building into a
early and then going for
gives you some really nice extra CC to slow the enemy so that your ADC can get a really nice trade on them. Basically, use your W to zone them, then use your Q to poke, getting two stacks of your passive and then use your E to get in close and trigger the additional slowing effect of
which does a LOT of damage but usually not enough to kill the target so it leaves your ADC to pick up the kill.
If you find yourself getting in trouble, use your E immediately to escape due to its low cooldown or use your ultimate to disengage and withdraw to a safe distance where you can still protect your ADC with your Q and its slowing effect.
I build Ekko tanky because he is REALLY good at kiting late game due to his mobility. The only support I've found that can be a problem is
because she can usually stun-lock you if she lands her Zenith Blade.
