When the mage update hit i lost a lot of games with him like many other BUT since the hot fix ive found a way to make him work.
His Q is great for wave clear something he lacked before and good at zoning melee
as far as abilities go i learn E, Q,W then max Q and W
as far as build goes i rush
and 
with that combo his ult never runs out of mana and i play his as a ap drain life tank not the ap brusier he was.

its a good item on him but roa scales up for more states 
does give you an engage dash ability though
Hullabaloo9071 votesI would mostly take it for the aoe slow, plus the actives synergizes with e I have also considered rocket belt, but being able to replace the roa is attractive to me because it wouldn't shake up my builds much

works with your ult and its always going to slow. i take this and play chase the bird in team fights
