build : sorcerer, liandry, void staff, rabaddon, athene, echoe luden sorcerer potion.

=43mpen with rune, 39%magic pen. 700ap.

mushroom base dmg : 450dmg mushroom ap ratio : 0.5 = 350dmg luden base dmg : 100dmg luden ap ratio 0.15 = 105dmg liandry with mushroom slow =0.12x4000=480dmg elixir sorcery = 25true damage *2 (it proc 2 times)

total = 1485magic damage+50true damage.

100magic resist is reduced to 100*0.61-43=18 which is 15% reduction damage

1485*0.85+50=1312 damage.

omg dat damage, teemo why you plant mushroom every 16sec, please stop that !!!

liandry with mushroom slow =0.12x4000=480dmg

Please do integration and not assume it is maximum HP percentage damage

technically integrating e^-0.04 from 0 to 3 overestimates how much damage you deal since Liandry's is actually calculated in steps of 0.5 seconds instead of continuously. While that it would be all fine and dandy, you now have to factor in base damages from the spell, health regen, and then divide periods of time into piecewise functions if you have DoTs or mortal wounds from ignite. Which means you have to find an anti-derivative but not integrate it because you're summing a finite number of steps.

We in the mathematical community have a highly technical term for this unique but not uncommon occurrence when dealing with the deterministic and discrete nature of computers: a headache.

Besides, very small discrete modifications over a small number of steps (like 6) can be approximated by just summing up the changes and treating them as a single block. It's certainly as about as error prone as treating the modifications as continuous when in fact they are discrete.

This is great

After my first year university math kicked my ass I need some more motivation to continue living the math dreams

and...shouldn't the integration be an underestimate (as e^-0.04 is a decay function), as opposed to doing Trapizodal rule or Simpson's rule or Rimens's sum which would be closer to the actual function?

(excuse my inability to spell Math)

Underestimates how much health you have, overestimates how much damage you deal. This is because damage is negative health.

I see..

Well thank you for your math discussions, I will be sure to use this in second year calculus!

true it's 402dmg instead of 480 magic dmg. so its only 66 dmg less dmg post mitigation. So 1246smg instead of 1312.

Cannot fully remember if Liandry's is spell hit or spell damage. It says spell damage. In which case It actually hits 8x for 2% and a following 5x of 1%(It deals damage every half second). Meaning it does 21% current HP with his R. Otherwise ignore me.

Also, trade out Athene's for FQC. 50AP(10 less) and 45 true damage. If we're looking at highest possible damage that is. It's not a realistic buy on him unless you're in ARAM.
