Can League steal HotS's Blind Pick?

Not memeing.

For a while I've been annoyed that Teambuilder went away. Blind pick is terrible, it's a bunch of autolocks and "me first" "fine duo mid" "report me idc" all over the place. If you can deal with having no bans, you then have to deal with that, and the toxicity is just terrible.

We need a queue where you can pick what you want.

When I play HotS, I can select any Hero and play it.

That's a magical thing. That like, you can just decide "I want to play this" and it won't be banned or picked, you just get to.

"But what about the OP and the new releases?"

Still only about 5 minute wait times max ish last time I checked (been a little while, might give or take a minute). Different population sizes I'd be surprised if League had longer wait times.

Want to play Irelia but upset she's banned all the time? Want to play new Aatrox when he comes out? Got a new skin and you're worried someone else will pick Lucian in another lane? You wouldn't have to.

Riot's already blatantly copied aspects of HotS so this really wouldn't be that far of a stretch. Yorick's W is Nazeebo's cage, literally functions the same exact way. They've started making Jungler closer and closer to HotS with the biggest example being Rift Herald. And, the new client looks almost identical to HotS's own just with additional features on the front instead of just the shop as well as different coloration.

Just steal the Blind Pick style.

For those who don't know how HotS's Blind Pick works, it's like this: You pick your Hero, and it queues you up before putting you in with others.

Now for the obvious point, what about League having roles.

Just queue up for Champion+role. I mean hell if you want to queue up for Talon Jungle it might be a dumb idea but you'll get to. Just pick role, pick Champion, done.

"But doesn't this force a meta where Teambuilder let you pick different options?"

Yeah but Riot's against bringing TB back for some reason idk why so this would be the next best thing, small price to pay for getting to play whatever you want.

Make Blind Pick Great Again. ... Or just great it was never really good to start with.
