You know why the matchmaking's so bad? It has fewer people to match together.

Because there are fewer people to match together, it matches Golds against Silvers. Higher-rank players know how to push objectives/advantages more to win the game, leading to snowballs, leading to a stomp, leading to a win/loss that doesn't feel all that satisfying, leading to leaving to find something else to do. Ad-infinitum.

Evidently I'm not saying the game will die, but if it does @RiotRepertoir it wasn't your fault - even if you may feel it was as the face of Riot's balance team. You at the very least listen, and we all thank you for it.

I had one game yesterday with all the players being good. Not a single feeder, everyone did their best really.

It was ONE game in 3 months or so that i had and it wasn't just one sided stomp fest.

I'm not sure how accurate this is. Like, it could be accurate? But it's been this way for awhile. And there's not any data posted to accompany this. Pretty sure the matchmaking is just shit and it has nothing to do with the amount of players.

Longer queue times? That's definitely a sign of less players. But not really the quality of matchmaking. That's its own thing.

It isn't as if riot is gonna EVER announce they have people quitting. That would make zero sense and not be in their best interests.

They wouldn't and you're right. But using the lack of evidence to say they are losing a significant amount of players, and then leaping from there and blaming this for the poor quality of matchmaking, especially when matchmaking has been poor for years seems too much of a stretch. Matchmaking just sucks ass and they really need to get on that. I gave up on ranked because with every victory, your teammates get higher MMR as they should. However, your team gets lower MMR. I've checked many times. It's a trend and I fully believe it's intentional, so that you're stuck near a 50% winrate. You're forced to play more games. The longer your play, the more likely you are to buy a neat skin.

I'm somewhat of a conspiracy theorist and it's probably hypocritical to rip on you for doing what I literally just did lmao. But, yea. I just do not think that's true, honestly.

I'm not really agreeing or disagreeing, but it doesn't help either side's argument here.

The only group that actually has the stat is never going to share it so one side can't argue that people are leaving and people can't then use the same "lack of evidence" to say "no that isn't true" because you can't really say for certain in the other direction either.

I'm literally not defending either side here, but you commented on lack of evidence, and there is an equal lack of evidence that people aren't leaving as people leaving. Both sides are pulling at threads with no evidence while trying to make the argument "well there is no evidence for your point" when it is literally the case for both sides.

No, it's definitely not the fault of one man. A team is a team. One man might be the face, one man (or woman, I honestly don't know anything about this figure) might relay the ideas, but it's still on the team to accept or reject them, and it's still on the team to implement them properly.

No it is not the fault of one man when i have 3 people bot, pushing my tower and when i try to escape i get 4th, Zed on my head with 4-0 score at my 2nd tier tower. Absolutely you are right.

I think we're broaching different subjects here, brother.

Reasoned arguments, I'm sure, but you seem to have mistaken the post I made in this thread for one I made in another. I made no mention of wolves, and was referencing the balance team, and how @RiotRepertoir is not solely to blame for the failures of the game's balance.

I believe he is confused. You are referring to the Riot team while he was talking about his team in game.

Inari Fox Orrion1 votes

Far from it. I was just talking to him, and not everyone including him. There is no DM option.

My O.P is just an observation; There's very little you can argue because it's just what I've seen for myself. It can be wrong and, hell, probably is... but! 'tis just an observation anyway.

Not you...the other guy above he was talking to.

LMAO cmon man please tell me you are trolling here. Golds get matched with Silvers because there is fewer people playing????

You sure its not because while being gold you hit a rough spot of losses which made your MMR plumit?? You do know it is possible to be Gold and still have the MMR of a Silver right? And its also possible for somoene in Silver to have MMR higher than their rank so they will get matched with Golds.

It has nothing to do with hte number of people playing. At least at that Elo..... higher elos then maybe it could be a numbers issue because there is less of them.

Having two separate queues still really doesn't help matters. The buddy queue needs to be deleted already and people need to just deal with duos again (apparently most people that play duo at most anyways, and I know at least 3 people that play it solo for reasons I don't understand).

One "healthy" queue that has leeched players away for an unhealthy queue that shouldn't give you rewards cause it is a matchmaking disaster.
