Making it better

What if Riot gave IP rewards for completing tutorials? I'd really love to see a quick tutorial released for each role, and a better demonstration of runes / mastery pages. I also firmly believe that a large part of why this game is full of players that rage quit, troll, or feed is simply because nobody really knows how to play.
It's especially hard to learn roles with the smurfs yelling and screaming at you for being new, and I feel like making it worth while to play through some boring tutorials would really help motivate people to play through them once.

Being IP and not RP, I don't really think it could be abused. You get rewarded IP for playing the game anyway, so it would only make sense that you got rewarded for boring yourself to death and developing simple MOBA skills.

I'm not against it

Most of the trolling, venting and raging is due to frustration with the ranked system, primarily being placement and a perception that oneself belongs higher- which is a huge part of why people create smurfs to play placement matches into a higher placement to begin with- then they take out their want-to-be-elitism out on people that are new or don't know how to play. Riot needs to do something about the interactions with our new players because a lot of people don't like it, fresh blood is good for game longevity as well as good and fun game design- all of which Riot needs to work on imo

The hubris that players have can be understated at times, I mean this is the same community that at large thinks rank is synonymous with skill and so elo boosting is a huge thing just to validate one's opinions and status in the eyes of others

You know, the same community that decides to ping me multiple times in lane after my lane ganks them and say "ty braindead mid 4 pinging mia" when I pinged them 6 times, over a span of time, not just pinging them as they got ganked or right before, and I have it recorded, too, but sure, jackasses, keep pretending I didn't ping and it's not your awful awareness that's the problem. People are jokes.
