I think it's time to get real about what's happening in the Jungle.

Riot has given us this beautiful thing... it's a trinket. It's free. It's vision... It's bae. **BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!! ** For some spare change YOU can upgrade your trinketbae to an even BETTER trinketbae. 3 wards for 250 gold? Pshhhhhhhh. NO THIS ISN'T A SCAM! IT'S REAL! AND IT COULD BE YOURS!

BUT WAIT THERE'S EVEN MORE Trinketbae can be purchased in several different flavors!

But for real. Can we make warding the new meta?

I always upgrade between 9-11 depending on gold and how close I am to items. I love that little ward factory that takes up zero item slots and provides a metric shit ton of wards for the low, low cost of 250g.

Its like a mini sightstone that doesn't take up an inventory slot, why wouldn't you upgrade this as soon as you hit level 9?

As a jungle main I agree. People lack vision control at my low elo. (Although I'm sure exactly what that is seeing as I don't play ranked but get matched from everything to Bronze to low Diamond in normals). My team often has little vision, the only person really warding being the support and myself if I have inventory space.

Laners are self entitled twats half the time, and they expect the support to just prance around warding their lane for them. Because 75 gold or your free trinket is just way too much.

If they made it possible to buy the upgrade at, say, 5 or 6 it'd be okay. 250 gold is quite a bit to be using at that point in the game, but a lot of supports would benefit more from it than spending 800 in a sightstone. In fact, I think it should be available from the start, so on first back the support can upgrade it and buy the rest of their support item. As far as other roles go, it's still a lot to spend but could be worth it. Frankly, all the important ganks happen before level 9. And map awareness is cool and all but having the ward upgrade unavailable when it's needed early is a bit dumb.

I can't even count how many times I have said this, both in boards and in game. People don't want to for some reason and fight it at every turn :P. Support and jungle can't cover the entire map in wards with only three each and a vision that usually gets killed right away. Wish more people would use those dang things and upgrade them

I can't tell you how often I have to beg my teammates to buy their upgraded trinkets. Usually they still don't get them until like 30 min mark right before game ends...
