Riot's Double Standard

Riot has a complete double standard for most champion design which is annoying and is turning this game into a bad copy of Super Smash Bros. They have repeatedly said about "counterplay" and how important "windows of opportunities are" but refuse to take snowballing out of the game to promote more team based games. So I've compiled a list of ridiculous choices with very little, if any, Counterplay. Notice how NONE of these are mages.

Leblanc - Cannot be countered as she can dash back to perfect safety. Being "squishy" is not enough of a weakness when all her spells have a ridiculous cooldowns and her passive is 60 seconds before she can split into 2 again.

Rengar - Stupidly long jump when stealthed or in a bush. If he needed a bush to do it that would be fine but by lategame his ult is on such a low cooldown that he can jump in from that. Pretty much bursts anyone down with 0 counterplay.

Jinx - Has ridiculous safety and long-range poke and ALSO CC as well as a ridiculous passive.

Ekko - Do I even need to say?

Irelia - You simply cannot out duel her because of Equilibrium Strike and by the time your poke has any effect, she already has enough lifesteal to completely negate it.

Riven - Shield scales from AD damage! WTF was Riot smoking!?

Thresh - Does everything a support could want, bored of seeing him in every game.

LeeSin - Mobility that makes him stick to anybody like glue and if he doesn't win the fight, he can just easily retreat. Did I mention he also has 8 abilities?

Nidalee - 8 Abilities, Overloaded heal and a poke that is more powerful then a mage's in an assassin form.

Zed - Incredible safety, waveclear and no real weaknesses except being a little squishy.

The only assassins I think that are balanced are the ones that have clear weaknesses.

Some good points, some bad points....sounds more like general whining tbh. I'll give you Lebroken though, she's a travesty.

It just annoys me how Riot makes balanced champs like Velkoz Anivia Swain but ignores that philosophy whenever they are making a new assassin. I mean, nobody says that Azir or Braum are overloaded? Its only with assassins and AD champs that they completely overload.

Let's talk about each individually :)

Leblanc Definitely strong. But I disagree with no counter plays. Any type of Offensive tank can take her on unless she is fed. Try fight a Cho with 6 stacks a some MR on him, or Nasus around 300 farm with a Spirit Visage. LB excels at catching people out of position, but if wards are in the right place, she is an easy victim to a pick off even with her passive up too.

Rengar . All you need is to either take an upgraded item 3341 or keep a pink ward on you and throw them down when the "!" appears above you. If you stay with one of you team mates who's relatively tanky and have any sort of CC, you can actually kill him easily if he builds glass cannon. If he isn't a glass cannon, there really isn't the issue of him 100-0 you.

Jinx Yes she is a really contested pick but is has the vulnerability of lacking an escape. Her CC are both relatively easy to dodge. All you need is a form of hard cc to pop her.

Ekko I've personally never find Ekko to be a big problem to lane against. The bigger problem i have is when he gets fed off other members of my team. His Q's damage was nerfed on the way out just recently, and when it's easy to side step on it's way back in due to it slowing down quite a bit when reaching the end. His stun is actually really hard to land. He is quite slippery but his kill potential isn't as high as the others you mentioned.

Irelia is, again, every strong, but she relies insanely on her attack speed. summoner 3 /item 3143 /item 3110 are all very effective items to take on to drastically decrease her damage.

Riven has been receiving complaints for quite a while now and she is very strong for sure. However, she falls victim to ranged pokes in lane and is rather kite-able with some form of CC.

Thresh is a very contested Support for a lot of reasons. His abilities are made, just like you said, just for support. Great peels. But then again, his biggest kill potential is his hooks, which are dodge-able with the time it uses to charge up.

LeeSin Actually only has 7 abilities.... And again, his is very skill shot based. If his Q misses, he can't really engage unless he w onto a ward/minions nearby the enemy. Also, he is fair on the fact that if he built damage, he would be extremely squishy and if he builds tanky, he would barely have any damage.

Although all the champs you mentioned are very strong and contested in pick/ban phases, I believe each of them have a way to play around them.
