An idea for champion mastery, accomplishing amazing feats in ranked games
I once played a game called warhawk for ps3, some of you may be familiar with the game. While playing online you could be rewarded badges or medals for accomplishing specific feats in a ranked match. For example if you had an amazing 20 kill deathless kda, or if you had a 15 man killing spree using a single weapon.
What I propose for league is something similar, lets say that while playing ranked you can earn champion mastery points for accomplishing specific feats on your champion. Getting a penta kill in a ranked game or having an amazing kda could give you points for higher mastery. This would also allow players to feel like they have some mastery over their champion. If you can accomplish certain feats like penta kills and dealing the most damage consistently in your games, then you can really feel like your champion mastery is well earned. Furthermore there could be levels of champion mastery that can only be obtained by accomplishing said feats within specific divisions of ranked. For example having a 20/0/5 kda in a silver game could contribute to your lvl 8 mastery.. but playing in diamond and getting 4 towers in a game could contribute to a lvl 10 champion mastery. This also further encourages ranked play and makes players feel proud that their mastery can't simply be obatained by just playing a lot of games. When you see someone with a champion mastery level that can only be obtained by consitent wins, most damage dealt, and pentakills in diamond elo then you know that person is very skilled with their champ.
Obviously there should be a lot to consider when looking at the champion being played and what things should be asked of them in a ranked game... e.g. supports can't be expected to get pentakills for champion mastery..this is just an example.
Here are some of my ideas for different accomplishments that could contribute to champion mastery points: Getting a pentakill in a ranked game Killing 4 towers or more in a ranked game Having a 75% win rate with a single champion in ranked Dealing the most damage consistently in won games having a deathless game reaching a specific number of kills in a game (lets say like 25) reaching a specific number of assists in a game Having an amazing creep score at the end of a won game Number of dragons killed number of wards dropped how quickly a player reaches level 18 within a game
I need more ideas for support accomplishments..but you get the jist. Please let me know what you think c:
