I was wrong about Kassadin
Made a thread a few days ago (http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/YudEuHZz-kassadin for reference) where I claimed he as actually rather weak. Honestly, I was wrong. Granted I've not got enough games in to say with certain, scientific certainty but i was incorrect about his ability to preform. His lane phase is better than I expected, his mid/late game scaling and damage is surprisingly strong and by late game he's the same 'ol "One and done" Kass I remember from way back then.
I underestimated his scaling and didn't take into account nor properly respect his ult damage (simply because, back in the day when I played him his ult damage was not that big of a thing to think about.) So..my bad! I concede my mistake. What got me curious was seeing him, as much as I am ashamed to admit it, do well in worlds. Then I looked up more 5.18/5.19 gameplay of him from pro streams and such where he has been doing over all pretty well.
Give him a try. His early game isn't the strongest but you have enough sustain in terms of mana to freely poke down enemies and by the time you're six you have enough damage to one combo them from about half Hp and it only get's stronger from there. I got my boy back. i'm really, really happy.
Just felt like I should admit when I was wrong and correct myself. I'm not about circlejerking after all, the number of upvotes on my old thread mean nothing to me. Doesn't make me right. GL hf.
and go second item
with soc boots. Third item usually
or maybe
if things are going really well. Further than that i couldnt go yet because the game was over by then ><.
+ Pots start, because mana sustain with W. Beware of playing vs AD champions though because kassadin (obvly) works best vs Magic damage :)
(Which got changed but is still strong)
(Which is just a nightmare when fed) and
(My favourite new champion by far and the one I have the highest mastery with)
