Can Lux's E show the outline of the circle AOE's shape and size during travel and not a tiny bullet?

That would probably be REALLY visually noisy, for lack of a better term. If her E has a clarity problem, the projectile just needs to be made bigger, but I haven't had an issue with it personally.

The area around it while travelling, or at its destination in advance?

The former would be rather odd since the AoE indicator wouldn't actually mean anything.

While traveling, sort of like how Anivia's stun circle thing flies. But it'd be a semi-translucent/dotted outline because it's not actually landed yet.

It's because the tiny bullet makes it almost impossible to judge the AoE size to actually even try and dodge properly, not even factoring in how large the E is anyways within laning.

The thing is, though, Anivia can choose to re-activate her Q at any time to make it burst at its current location - which means that its AoE indicator is actually relevant.

Lux can't do that. She can only re-pop the spell once it's landed, in the location that she aimed it at.

I can see the benefit of it, but I also think it would be rather confusing because the area is only relevant once the spell has landed, and maybe for a tiny window just before it reaches its destination.

Mhm, I agree. Anivia's indicator circle during projectile flight works because she can detonate it whenever. Lux's indicator circle only matters at the destination when it lands because it can't be detonated during flight. Adding an indicator circle during flight would only be visually confusing because it doesn't slow nor can it do damage until it lands. For the second possible situation that MissingKayo might be describing, giving the enemy an indicator of exactly where she's throwing it is a huge nerf to her because the ability to hit the spell often depends on Lux's opponent not knowing where the spell is going to hit.

I don't think whatever change MissingKayo is going to work out well. One is just confusing, and the other would probably need to be accompanied by a buff.

It's like Annie's ultimate. It may be a skillshot, but you're not able to dodge it (without mobility ability)

Lux E is undodgable without a dash or she misses it. there is no reason to see it at all.

No, cause that wouldn't be fair to lux. Just simply build boots and keep your distance, then your good. The reason I say this is because her HUGE amount of squishiness makes her countered by almost any champion as is.
