If Azir is getting reworked because of his power in pro play,
Then where are the Rek'sai and Lee Sin, and Leblanc reworks?
Then where are the Rek'sai and Lee Sin, and Leblanc reworks?
It's not so much the effect he has on pro play specifically, but rather, the fact that his skill in/power out ratio is nothing short of staggering. The mechanical skill and decision-making employed by pros allow them to take Azir and make him a complete monster. At the same time, however, low elo scrubs like myself take that champion and flounder around the rift making barely coherent plays.
A champion with that much variance is a nightmare to try to balance. Nerf him until he's manageable at high elo and he's too weak in low elo. Buff him so he's good in scrub hands and the pros tear everyone a new asshole.
Azir's rework is the only one that's necessary because he is the only champion that can simultaneously be unstoppable for a tiny amount of the playerbase and completely unusable for 95% of it. While champs like Lee and LeBlanc have high skillcaps too, they're simply not that extreme. Riot wants to encourage high skillcap champions because they're rewarding to learn, but asking someone to learn Azir is the equivalent of asking someone to climb to challenger. Most people just can't do it.
Where was it announced? Just curious.
Or Lulu? She's like in literally every Pro gamepwhere she isn't banned
Because when Azir was released he warped the entire game around him existing
well thats not very reasonable....all three of those champs are strong in solo que too (^:
Or Sivir?
