That there was some sort of new Game regardless of what it is (RPG, MMORPG, FPS) based on the Runeterra world, which would allow you to travel to any of the Runeterra's Regions and allow you to explore it to the fullest.

Imagine creating a character item 3635 exploring various parts of Runeterra, collecting items/artifacts/rune shards and what else. Having several Game-Modes and a Freeroam mode where a huge number of people can gather together and just chill or even group up to complete quests together.

I'd love the ability to...

  • Explore the vast emptiness of the VOID item 3512
  • Walk the mystic lands of SHADOW ISLES item 3165
  • Venture on deep travels across the endless desert of SHURIMA item 3068
  • Climb the mountains to the top of MOUNT TARGON item 3170

If only...

Actually, they are on some big League based project right now, but we don't know what is it exactly. They confirmed some time ago they want to make something big and u can also google "Legends of Runeterra"

i know this would be something entirely different.

but i wish they would make a classic RPG in this world. be it in the style of the diablo series, or party based like the DnD games or divinity series. just have a game in leagues world, that entirely lives through its lore and story.

You can do a DnD session in Runeterra. I think it's fan made.

My friend played as an Ionian Blade dancer in a Homebrew run once.

i might try this one day. but id probably have to run it, since most of the people im playing dnd with dont play the game and wouldnt be able to do it.

but its an interesting thought. league has pretty complex lore to build on, and a lot of DnD material would be easily adaptable.

like all the steampunk stuff from piltover would be doable with the ruleset from eberron campaigns. the rest is pretty vanilla. like demacian warriors, or even sorcerers who hide among the population, noxian warlocks, freljord babarians and rangers, yordles = gnomes, its all possible.

I wouldn't mind that actually, since I myself am quite the fan of the Diablo series.

Honestly just make it anything as long as the world can be explored or even parts of it are made in proper levels.

Also by any chance do you play Path of Exile?

i played path of exile a long time ago. people keep praising the complex skill tree, but honestly i found even torchlight 2 skill tree more appealing because you had a pretty good mix between horizontal and vertical progression.

the gem system into weapons and armor was interesting, but the regular skills were for the most part just flat stats. so the giant tree honestly just felt inflated.

I really personally enjoyed everything about Path of Exile, really loved the Skill Tree mostly because it has so many cool effect options for my character build, which was basically just a heavy Chaos Damage only focused Witch (Skills: Blight, Contagion, etc..).

My only disappointment is that after reaching levels of 75 or so, there's almost no real progression after that because once you manage to exchange required currency for the strongest item for your character build (and there's limited options in terms of item difference bonuses other than just raw stat differences).

I sort of stopped playing it because of this reason, it was fun while it lasted but I couldn't even get myself properly interested in the story either, I mostly just played it because it was free and something of similar to Diablo series.

I'm a simple man. I like league of legends. I hate Riot. Because they don't make what's fun.

Interesting you posted this just minutes after mine. I am certain you saw my post before you created this, and I am glad that you agree, because nobody else has posted anything about this besides the 2 of us from what I've seen so far. In the Link below you might see my post came a little before yours, but that's not the point here haha! I am glad others agree there is a lot of potential for Riot to expand on their League of Legends Lore. So in the Link below, I hosted a vote as well. Galio

(League of Legends RPG Concept Art, Elder Scrolls potential, in the Link below) https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/teamfight-tactics/9eHbxAx3-should-riot-make-a-league-of-legends-ip-or-full-retail-game-an-rpg-like-elder-scrolls-for-next-gen

(However, my vision is with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 if it's released in time, as an RPG with awesome graphics used, because League of Legends needs to shine in ways beyond the cartoon style. League of Legends has Elder Scrolls potential, especially with the Lore landscapes, and Race variety possibilities, among character choices of impact in the world. While I am open to an MMO and other game genre types for League of Legends in the future, I would still hate to see League of Legends remain a sloppy cartoon style (copy, paste, wasted opportunity to expand the audience), as I am sure fans want to see the Legends in a more matured epic setting, than cartoony as we already get now...)

Strange coincidence, sorry to disappoint but I didn't see it, i'll check it out now.

Haha yeah for sure! Ziggs Also if they took the concept art images here, and applied the realism live action looking vision, they can achieve a God of War style game but for League of Legends. I prefer a more Dragon Age: Inquisition approach, but a God of War world playstyle would work well for League of Legends as well!

I just want them to make anything at this point.

I actually suggested this in my big controversial post about League flopping and how it needs to change recently. Riot should definitely think about exploring other avenues, and this sort of game could be worthwhile. More than one of us would like to romp around in this lore in like an action RPG or the like. Get on it, Riot!
