As someone who has also made the gold climb a couple times now it's not any easier. I mean, maybe if you are already a higher level player, but going through it for the first time is frustrating.

Point is don't get discouraged. If you play well and do consistently better decisions then you will climb even if there are a couple games you just can't win no matter what you do.

Anything under Diamond 5 is pretty much the same. People are mechanically useless, only thing that differs is basic gameplay knoweldge and knowing whats meta.

Diamond 5 doesnt change much either sadly Its full of hardstucks that just gave up climbing because they have the diamond boarder and know that they wont get master/challenger Also theres a lot of smurfs in there and boosted accounts

It's gonna take you 100x as long. I got out of Bronze, two years ago and I've been trying for Gold ever since. 2 years and thousands of ranked games later, I'm no closer than I was when I first hit Silver. In comparison, it only took me 6 months to figure out how to get out of Bronze. Silver is the true elo hell. You have to be an exceptionally skilled player to get out of Silver. Being Ok at the game isn't going to cut it like it did in Bronze.

Ehh, yes and no.

In my experience, the problem with climbing out of bronze, silver, gold, and plat is that every tier has its own weird meta and playstyle you need to conform to.

In bronze, you basically split push to win.

Silver, you need to be willing to teamfight 24/7

Gold, is solo carry or lose

I think the thing you can't prepare yourself for in Silver is the broad range of skill levels you'll see. I've started in Bronze the last 2 or three seasons (from finishing in Gold) and you knew that 95% of the people were just not good players, mechanically or knowledge-wise. In Silver (where I am currently trying to solo climb the flex queue to Gold) it's not uncommon for me to have teammates that go 30-0 as mid Zed, or all 4 of my other teammates are 0-8.
