Matchmaking is trying to demote me....

So I come back to league go on a massive win streak and face roll every opponent, get promoted and win 2 games then I do bad ONE game and now guess what. 3 games ina row with basically inting (0-6) teammates and a game where there is a trolling duo running around the map taking teemo jg no smite and feeding ahri 4 kills before 8m. Like what???? I go to look at NA.OP and guess what? I have been getting matched with bronze 2-3's and LEVEL 30'S AGAINST all silvers. So not only is my team inting and trolling for 4 games now, even if they weren't were at a disadvantage. Where is the matchmaking? Statistically the enemy team should have an equal chance to have inting or trolling players but I'm nailed 4 times in a row erasing around 3.5 hours of gameplay and requiring another 3.5 hours to restore it. Combined with the 3.5 hours of actually playing the games, you've effectively destroyed 11 hours of gameplay matching me with trolls 4 games ina row.

The fact that the matchmaking is this god awful on a billion dollar game is just disgusting. I don't care what a level 30's mmr is. A level 30 will NEVER and I repeat NEVER be as good as a silver 5 who has been playing the game for 3 years. Fuck his mmr. Yet rito over there thinks that a level 30 and 3 year silver are the same. nice logic.

The game punishes you for winning. If I win one lose one I don't get matched with apes but if I actually hard carry multiple games it matches me several ranks below mine in an attempt to fuck me over. Yet you don't expect me to just bypass your games and buy an account for 50 bucks? Hah.

Where? Last time I check the job of a ranking system was to support and show your growth in skill not try it's hardest to fuck you in the ass if your winning. There is a difference between losing because your out of your skill level and being matched in unbalanced match ups. A team of 2 bronzes, a level 30 and 2 low silvers isn't a fair match against 5 mid silvers....... You can't justify that match up. It was a clear handicap against me.

Honestly, I get that everyone has to start somewhere but level 30's are generally not silver skill level. They lose like 3/10 promos and still get silver and in my experience usually demote to bronze 4 or 5 FROM SILVER and on their way down goes those silvers playing with them. Level 30 takes ~1month now. Someone playing 1 month is simply not equal to someone playing years, they lack the experience regardless of mmr. Silver should not be the starting point for new players. Bronze 3 should be as that is where most new players demote to. Placing new players in Silver 5 just makes it harder to get out of bronze and harder to stay in low silver for no reason.

A silver 5 who's been playing the game for 3 years is probably someone who doesn't learn from their mistakes, and hence is probably not much better than a fresh level 30.

That's just incorrect. Learning from an error and skill level aren't connected. Learning from errors impacts skill GROWTH not CURRENT skill level. I have yet to see a first time ranked level 30 not int vs a silver or gold vet. When I was level 30 I thought flash was irrelevant.....These guys I'm matching with that are level 30 have fucking gold runes over defensive runes...... they are building deathcap first item..... they don't have the experience to stand a chance.

Yes, and if their skill growth is 0, then their current skill level will be the same now as when it was 3 years ago and they were a fresh 30.

That said, there is a fair variety of fresh level 30 skill levels. Granted, fresh 30 these days is probably worse than fresh 30 a year or two ago due to the xp requirement changes, but a relatively talented fresh 30 could easily be playing at a silver level as soon as they're 30 and do fine against another silver, even a silver who'd been silver for years (which I actually tend to find to be worse players than people who have only been silver for a little while, as they may still be climbing up to gold or beyond).

Silver being starting elo makes it a bit special in this regard. Gold vets are another story, as there theres lots of people who are only gold vets because they stop playing ranked at that point since they earned rewards, but silver isn't something most people intentionally stop at.

Your ignoring the fact that the majority of level 30s that place into silver either are too scared to play ranked to lose S5 therefore they place B3 next season OR they demote to low bronze.....So even if a 0 skill growth silver player was his same skill 3 years ago he would still be better than the level 30 who is waiting to be demoted. Why? because he is actually holding his rank while the level 30 is bound to demote.

Silver is NOT an appropriate starting level. I have gotten many people into this game and the ONLY player who was able to keep silver the second he hit level 30 only did so because he stopped playing at 0lp then demoted to bronze 4 next season. Start keeping track of data using riots open API....Level 30's do not keep silver. It's just a fact. Of course exceptions and outliers exist but the average level 30 will demote to at least bronze 3 so why tf is silver 5 the starter elo? That means riot is knowingly putting silver 5's with players THEY STATISTICALLY KNOW will lose the game.

Not to mention in my experience most of low elo is held back from climbing not by mechanics or decisions but toxicity and ego. That is why you have these level 7, 8KDA, 300 CS average one tricks that are in low elo. They play at a high gold level but they make their team want to afk and int everygame but being an ego-manic and all around toxic every game. So skill growth doesn't equal rank either.

To climb the ladder you need more than just skill if you want to be efficient. You need skill, decision making, and attitude. Most people in silver lack the attitude to win and call GG 10m in. Regardless of how good they are. That doesn't mean that a level 30 can compete.

Your also ignoring the context. I lost 60lp due to level 30's feeding against silvers so clearly their is a disconnect between the silver and level 30 skill level. Not only does the API Data show this, anyone who is matched with a level 30 in silver can share their experience trying to carry this player. My other silver on my team wasn't the one that was 0-8 or 0-7 or playing AD Teemo JG........It was the level 30's that had no ranked experience. It's common sense. Experience > MMR. I would rather have a bronze JG than someone playing out of meta JG with tier 2 runes and incorrect masteries because they are level 30....

dude he was talking about i think me, not you. and I was silver 3 end of last season and have been a support main since i've started, not exactly a hard carry role. each season i've climbed higher. first season i was the guy that was placed too high and fell. I was placed b1 and ended b3 following season i was placed b5 and climbed to s5 then b5 to s3.

so i completely agree that they place the unranked 1st season 30s in too high a tier.

Update: Today got matched with a Yi that fed my tryndamere 5 kills and then got an afk after. So make that SIX GAMES INA ROW.
