When I play him now it feel like I am more of a bully than before.

this is coming from a 3k Darius game player.

he needs to be weak early game or else the rework was pointless

I think we could revert a bit of the hotfix he got.

EDIT: I am happy people are defending him, maybe it's me not being used to him being strong :/

To be honest, I'd rather have other top lane picks brought up to his level than for him to be toned down. He is a good example of what a juggernaut is supposed to be, by the explanation Riot gave with the update. Also, while Darius is a pretty strong lane bully, his kit and personality support that playstyle. His Q, his main harass ability does not pull minion aggro because it has no target, which is one of the reason he's so good at trades. That utility is stronger than any number tuning they could justify.

hes at just above 50% winrate now. why would he need nerfs? looks to me like hes in a good spot.

he's not just above 50% he is sitting at 53% wr for 3 days now

so? thats not too crazy. a lot of champions have been sitting at a winrate like that for a long time.

Try laning against someone like Trundle. Another tanky melee bruiser who has the raw stats to run at you when you start to spin and subsequently pound your face in. Quite possibly doing enough damage to continue to deal (and kill) you when you get 5 passive stacks.

Or against someone like Cho'gath. A top laner who has the ranged damage and CC to harass you into the ground with no retaliation allowed.

Darius isn't broken, he's just reached his old levels again. He traded the out right murder potential for a more harassy style, but he's still got weaknesses which can be capitalized on.

Seriously, try facing trundle. It won't be fun.

His overly low winrate right after the patch was because people where trying to figure him out. With the hotfix and people getting adjusted to what he can and can't do now his winrate is a bit high because his opponents need to adjust themselves in order to fight this new true version of Darius, (kite-y Q, sustaining, BC into tank) in lane. He's got different ways to approach match ups now that will catch people off guard. His 90% slow W in early trades for example is really punishing to some champions like Hecarim and ranged champions without good escapes like Vladimir that stray too close and get hooked.

Guarantee his win rate dips in the coming days once people realize the true new weaknesses and strengths of his kit.

chill out already. They will nerf him for sure. Riots buffed him for only reason - to show players his real potential and give some time to learn his toolkit.

Champions that relies on aa are more suitable to fight Darius than any other champs. E.G. AD , etc. ESPECIALLY AD FIZZ. he is the counter to Darius simply cuz of his ****pool.
They removed his attack speed reduction from his Former W
They added physical damage to his bleed to gut his early level damage (unless you take 10 secs of 5 stacks, then that is a different story). So it is easier to itemize against him, rather than worrying about his Magic damage bleed, physical damage abilities and a true damage ult.
they nerfed his pull so champions like Renekton or any champs that can dash away hint hint can run. You can pull but it wont work when they are mid animation of their escape. especially flash. So you can't punish them for letting them hit you.
All his potential damage can only be done once you have 5 stacks, other than that, you will deal a good amount of damage but NOT SO MUCH.
Q has a delay, so it is easier to dodge.
No extra movement speed from his Passive, so now you will have to rely on these 3 things : #1 , #2 (Not phage because you need to auto attack or kill something, where as black Cleaver will give you 20 ms for "any physical damage". Last but not least, #3 MS Quints and also 3 Drags.
Destoryed his Attack speed scaling and his actual attack speed is shit now. Before, it only took less than 2 seconds to apply 4 stacks of hemorrhage.

NOTE: He will get from 1% attack speed scaling > 2% attack speed scaling so it will be "eh".

Fail your Q and you lose the trade.
Fail you Flash Q and you cry because you couldn't dunk them (The solution is that you flash 1st then Q if you guys are wondering about it. Also for the pull, wait until animation is gone, then you either pull them in by being close or by flashing).

1) You can say that he is more of a bully because they did nerf armor items.

2) Now that he doesn't need to max out his W, you can see his potential damage at lv 13 by maxing his pull and having around 30% armor pen ( by Devestating Strikes) or 25%. Remember, he gets 25/30% at level 13 and by then, you will never be in laning phase except in rare cases.

Besides that, i can't think of any way he is a bully in lane. Bloody, do you mind sharing some things why Darius is a Bully?
