According to the update, it says that ALL matchmade games can give key shards. However, I haven't gotten any of them there and neither have my friends I asked. Has anyone gotten a key shard from these gamemodes?
Some said that it was bugged others say that the announcement was just wrong. Maybe the drop rates are just very low in here?
Hethalean2 votesNope, Riot stated that ARAM and TT was bugged and not dropping keys at the moment. I cannot remember where the red post is. However, it's bugged.
Minarde1 votesBoth the support site and the 6.6 patch notes mention that key drops for everything besides SR are bugged.
With that said, I'd like confirmation if Co-op SR games are also bugged. Based on the Hextech Crafting support article, keys should drop there too, but I haven't seen one yet.

Amelie1 votesIf I'm not mistaken, Sukishoo is correct.... this is what Riot means when they say "matchmade modes" for any of their events, etc. It's games of player vs player, not bots.
Sukishoo1 votesYeah. PVP / Matchmade all the same thing really. It means you can only gain keys in a match with and against other players. A match of Co-Op vs AI is only one side of players not both, so you cannot gain a key.
It's the same thing with how you cannot gain Mastery points unless in a PVP game.
Minarde1 votes"Matchmade" and "PvP matchmade" aren't the same thing. In the chat restriction support article, Co-op vs AI is explicitly listed as a matchmade game mode. Additionally, during the Bilgewater event, a Rioter confirmed that Co-op vs. AI is a matchmade queue.
The Mastery point reasoning is a little questionable, since PvP TT/ARAM games aren't (currently) eligible for Mastery points either.
Minarde1 votesThat's not how Riot's used "matchmade modes" in the past though. During the Bilgewater event, Co-op was confirmed as a matchmade queue because "you hop in matchmaking with ... other players." In the chat restriction support article, Co-op is listed as a matchmade queue. For the Dominion retirement and even the old Freljord event, Riot had to specifically exclude Co-op when saying "matchmade games."
