Twitch is doing exactly what everyone hated about pre-nerf Kogmaw

the stand-still and completely fucking wipe out teams while being unkillable through warlords, lifesteal, and shields as he stands in another dimension from his ult attack range buff strategy is really fun

Kogmaw had 2 major problems that convinced riot to revert the rework: 1)He abused on-hit item making then difficult to balance 2)To maximize his dps he was forced to stay still because with such high attack speed it was very difficult to kite.

Twitch maybe be too strong now but his kit is at least fine.

Papa Andrei9 votes

it isn't Twitch thats the issue, its the high amount of shields and heals

My Waifu Vanilla15 votes

And crit being a huge factor in whether or not he kills your entire team or not. If someone like Cait crits you 3 times in a row with 40% or 50% crit then it sucks, but if Twitch crits your team 3 times in a row during ult then he potentially just straight up wins the game by doing 70%+ of multiple squishies' health bars out of stealth. The difference between a 650 (150 across 5 people) teamwide auto and a 2025 teamwide auto is a lot more than Caitlyn or someone hitting for 375 instead of 150.

When I played other ADCs, I felt as if their kits felt a little off and this is even after the reworks. And its only a few.

Sivir is someone I have a hard time learning and I'm sure someone in chat could help me. I like her kit, and her E is one the best and more original of the abilities I will ever see. The only issue is that her R costs mana and it just puzzles me because all it is, is a speed boost and nothing else. And the range for those nearby isn't all too grand. For it to cost 100 mana per use or even have the CD it has is kind of beyond me.

This is one of the few champs I think Riot could rework into an Udyr style ranged Champion by just making small tweaks to her Q, W, and E when in their final level and making her R go up 5 levels and just cost less and probably only have her move faster. It can keep the passive but only goes up by 3% bonus AS (the final level would allow 15% bonus AS when using her W).

Corki is not terribly hard, but when you are kind of forced to want to chose AP over AD most of the time when he deals majority magic damage, I just find it hard to get items that would work correctly.

There isn't really an APC set of items handy and its kind of why champs like Teemo and Azir aren't brought into the Carry role. There is the Hextech Gunblade and Nasher's Tooth but that's just two items. There aren't many items that combine AD, AP, and AS and the only one that did all three well was nerfed and it was Trinity Force (which isn't really a mixture of everything anymore). More items that offer APCs variety wouldn't be terrible, at least having one that has gives spell vamp for basic attacks wouldn't be terrible (and the loss of many spell vamp items kind of hurts mages when AD has a lot of life steal items).

Graves is actually pretty original (even if it is kind of copied from Jhin). The only issue I have is that Graves must shoot what's in front of him at all times. This makes it hard to lane as in, anything standing in front of Graves prevents him from taking the turret. People complaining about the extra damage from his extra shots can take a second to realize how hard it is to get to that point. I think that Graves should be able to shoot at what ever he is trying to target and the other two rounds (or his other 4 if critically striked) should hit whatever else. That's not the only strange thing in his kit. I mained Graves before his change and really dislike the E now, as it only functions well after hitting something which is not exactly what I used it for when I play as Graves. Rather it helps me attack more (with the AS buff it gave) but that's not what it does right now. It should give an extra bullet to Graves so he can shoot 3 times in a row even if there is already 2 bullets loaded. The whole point of the small slide is to give an extra bullet so why waist one while in range, slide a little to the right to fire another one? Why not just have 3 from the get-go? I'll say t again, the design change is original and I kind of like it but there are flaws that make him hard to use. And if you want to get Graves back into lane rather than jungle, these changes would greatly benefit.

LBB41213 votes

Graves was reworked far before Jhin was released.

Rew7111 votes

heh, I thought Jhin came first. my bad (insert face with sweat and awkward smile).

LBB4123 votes

Despite them being roughly a year apart (i think, Graves was reworked on patch 5.22 and Jhin was released on 6.2) I still had to look it up to check.

Rew7111 votes

Dude, I can't remember all that stuff. All I remember is that they both use bullets. That's it. Can't believe people down vote mistakes even if you acknowledge it and at the very least try to apologize.

Thanks for looking it up and all but did you really need to? Like, did you really need to have to nit pick all the way to the point where it came to that?

I threw my jacket down in my house the other day and forgot where I left it so (because I couldn't find it) I left without it only to come back and have someone else find it for me. Memory isn't my strongest quality.

LBB4121 votes

All I was saying was that I had trouble remembering too and had to look it up to double check. You got real defensive about it real quick

Spaceman5pff8 votes

The only reason Sivir R has such a crazy CD is because she was just completely dominating LCS

Oblivious Denial4 votes

No, he didn't need to stand still. Through orb-walking, you could easily maneuver around fights.

ProfDrDeath21 votes

Twitch's kit is generally fine, yes.

The problematic item, currently, is imo this here: item 3085 .

Of all the Zeal items, it gives the most powerful sustained damage effect, while also featuring the second-highest AS among them and the highest permanent MS boost.

dragon1xx2 votes

It's not just a problem for Twitch either: Old KogMaw : 3 %hp projectiles Ashe : 3 perma-slowed targets Jinx : 3 aoe damage rockets Caitlyn : 3 headshots for 1000+ damage Twitch : 9 long range projectiles Kalista : 3 targets to rend at a time Kindred : 3 %hp projectiles

Chembaron Yamada10 votes

Sry, but it seems you lack game knowledge at this point.

Caitlyn: Ruunan's bolts are just dealing 25% of the damage the marksman is dealing to the original target. She won't hit 3 targets with 1000+ damage as long as your build is any kind of decent.

Twitch: I have absolutely no clue how you came up with 9 long ranged projectiles. His ult is increasing his range (long range check) and making them pierce. So you got 3 long ranged piercing projectiles, 2 of them are dealing 25% damage.

At least stop spreading wrong information, please. =/

As a Twitch main I can safely say that this has literally always been a part of his kit, he's always deleted whole teams. The only difference here is that Rito forced him into full crit rather than item 3142 rush, making his ult better. Also hes seen a spike in playrate since people actually saw what he could do after trying him to test the QW changes.

He's received nerfs for close on 3 patches straight, but people complaining now because the meta has shifted away from Jhin Lucian Ezreal. Also gonna throw it out there that any decent Twitch is going to kite you and not just stand still ulting so he can get CC'd.

Maybe you guys should just not permaban Yasuo and let your teammate play him for once so you can just make Twitch obsolete with Windwall. #shotsfired

My Waifu Vanilla9 votes

When Twitch (a hyper carry) is one of the better lane bullies bot lane there is a problem. Vayne and Twitch are running rampant because everyone that beat them in lane (Lucian, Jhin, MF, Draven) all got gutted with the item changes so it is really just Cait and Ezreal left to shut all the hyper carries down.

SpongebobIsLife7 votes

he isn't one of the better lane bullies though. He actually has very little bully potential, other adcs are just much weaker if not played at a really high level with an aggro support like leo naut

the weeaboo4 votes

Agreed. He's not a bully at all. His E, which is his only, is on like a 7-12 sec CD i believe. Whereas Ezreal, Lucian, etc. poke is on a 1-5 second CD. Hes only a bully if you play stupidly and get hit my too many poison stacks.

JackMcSnipeyz7 votes

Only he's not? Twitch is one of the easiest champs to punish in lane, his passive does shit damage, you can health regan faster than his poison ticks. He needs to auto attack you 6 times to maximize his damage.

Compare that to lucian 100-0 you in level 3, or ez poking you 24/7 under turret, or cait trapping you with a wall.

Elewd28 votes

Nope not worth it, yasuo stays permabanned.

Spaceman5pff6 votes

Yeah I am not dealing with having a 1/14 Yas on my team just so he can windwall a twitch.

GayFluffyUnicorn4 votes

Which nerfs? That 5 more mana? And that one stack less? bitch pls. The problem about twitch is not deleting entire teams, the problem is him doing it before you can even react. Considerong all the AS currently in the game+ his own AS steroid he comes out of stealth with 2-2,5 AS which means he does two-three AAs in 1 sec when he pops out. So he can deal up to 2,5k dmg in a second and a half out of INVISIBILITY (very funny for squishy champs who lack the resistance and health) .

the weeaboo2 votes

Get faster reflexes lol. And its not invisibility it's camoflage. Place a control ward once in a while and you'll see it coming.

Marshbouy33 votes

He's been like this for ever. The only difference was some buffs in preseason pushed him over the edge.

Well, that and the entire bot-lane meta shifted around him. One of his early-game counters (tank/"hard engage" supports) became basically obsolete botlane, thus he's allowed to get away with way more than he used to. Another reason why vayne's seeing a resurgeance.

Pop0001004 votes

It's not the support meta its the Lethality changes and their effects on lucian, MF, and Jhin

So much this. It's the classic Sejuani. They were abusing arpen. Got nerfed. Arpen got nerfed. Adc nerds not reverted.

To be clear, all of those nerfs were warranted, and luc/mf are not currently that UP. They just need a small amount of love.

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

They don't need ANY love. Riot just needs to overcome their bias and finally gut those abominations currently dominating botlane. Meaning: Twitch, Cait, Jhin. Then you will see great diversity again. Let's not make that mistake again and bring back the horrors of lucian/mf snowballing out of control just because they got some "love". They are in a decent and healthy spot only overshadowed by the sheer overwhelming power of those three mentioned ADCs. Despite all the overhauls and reworks ADCs still only get picked up for their pure power and not utility.

Indeed. When "best dps in the game" is the thing that a class brings, it's very hard to justify optimizing for anything other than that.

DunkinNoobs13 votes

You know who really shuts down Twitch? Yasuo

NineTailedMystic5 votes

Twitch is the lesser of the two evils though.

Reaper Soraka7 votes

Only with Twitch it's harder to notice because you never see it coming.

At least when kog walked up you knew there was nothing you could do but back off or die.

Carrie Pigeon5 votes

The difference with Kog'Maw is Kog'Maw had a high attack speed (up to 5.0) which made it near impossible for non Kog'Maw mains to effectively kite. Along with this the cheapness of On-Hit items such as Wits End or Blood razor and basically doubled their power due to his W. After getting a runaans/wits end or bloodrazor Kog'Maw could literally 1v5 due to his synergy with the items and made it such an unfair game due to the items needing about 5000 gold (I'm not 100% on their cost).

Twitch at least needs to scale a bit however has the issue that his comes out of stealth and thus is less noticeable along with better range.

Huebone2 votes

He's talking about pre season 6 kog, what they sort of reverted him to now, back then he could go ap or ad, his choice, and he became a long range hypercarry.

He actually couldn't go AP. AP Kog'Maw was even worse than it is now back then.

JackMcSnipeyz5 votes

Only twitch has been doing it since the dawn of time and is only like that late game, and still has less attack speed than pre rework nerf.

Kog would get 2 items that werent even that expansive and thats it, GG, twitch, while being annoying, needs attack speed, crit, armor pen, life steal - all stats that require different items to achieve making his end build more expansive.

Is he out of line? Yea i guess, the stats support that, but is he the same as unreworked kog? Fuck no, twitch is super late carry as long as i remember him, and before his stealth was way more reliable

Lohenngramm4 votes

Braum also works as a mild Twitch counter for the same reason as Yasuo: His wall can block Twitch's main source of damage. Since his wall destroys projectiles it also completely negates Twitch's ultimate and the rat's synergy with Ruunan's. Basically, a well played Braum is almost as effective a Twitch counter as a well played assassin (emphasis on the WELL-PLAYED qualifier).

His ulti range is same as a control ward ,so its not much of the help.Plus you dont get a warning that he is close (like rengar ,eve). You cant put control ward every 3 steps...And dont forget things like redemption ,exhaust ,supports like janna....

hallfro2 votes

I absolutely agree that Twitch is a problem, and I know Riot are planning to address him- I was just wanting to point out that control wards- the new pinks- DO reveal Twitch, technically.

Gesterr1 votes

If Twitch ults a control ward then you won regardless, that on top of the fact that autoing anything cancels his camoflauge and reveals him. You're literally making shit up to sound right instead of just admitting you made a mistake.

Well at least this one doesnt have percentage health dmg in his kit

Twisted Twitch3 votes

fun fact... i have 300k mastery on twitch.. he has always done this. hes justa baller. and if you think he is unkillable. people are wasting their cc on others when they should be waiting for him to come out of stealth.

Dengeden1 votes

He takes longer for that to happen though, so that's fine. Kog did it until he fell off late game.

TwinkiePro1 votes

Wait, kog fell off?

Dengeden1 votes

Yeah, he couldn't really kill tanks who stacked MR. And building LW didn't synergize with his on-hit build.

They could walk up to him and invalidate his Runaan's to top it all off.

TwinkiePro3 votes

Ah yes, I remember getting rushed by olaf on many occasions. good times.
