Wouldn't Premade teams be a better representation of your skill.

Premade teams would be a better representation of your skill. You would be working with players that you trusted and could rely on. Knowing that they were considerate of your time and shared your desire to win by playing with you instead of in spite of you would help greatly with cooperation and champ synergy.

League of Legends is like only playing pick-up games in basketball at the YMCA and thinking one day you will be as good as an NBA player. In my opinion the community should have striven to build team over anything else like in bowling. It's season 5 and I have never looked at someone profile and seen them finished with their team provisional games. They haven't played FIVE games with a premade team and they have over 200 solo queue games. This is a team based game where it seems that few are trying to build teams. Besides pride or practice, I don't know why ANYONE gives a shit about their solo queue record anyway.

I played with a group of casual players for a month or so. They had no desire to play ranked because of the toxicity. On a regular we would trounce teams. We usually lost when one of the guys girlfriend was playing. That is the equivalent of playing a bunch of bronze games. I could win 3 to 5 in a row. in ranked, I am pleasantly surprised if I don't lose at select. I am happy when I lose due to a good game, and I am dumbfounded when I play 2 games in the same day with no trolls and win twice.

FYI: I am aware that there are teams made. i'm am just saying the contrasts be between loose players and teams is kind of ridiculous considering this is team based game full of trolls. It would be advantageous to build teams for the sole purpose of insulating yourself from trolls! Don't wait till some magical day when you reach some arbitrary rank before start trying to build a tight knit group to play with.

I have a feeling I know what you are going to say. So let me her it.

Finding 4 friends who are around your skill level is not easy. Finding a common time when everyone is available to play is even harder.

I think that is weird cause I watch my friends list. It seems like 10 of them are on for 2 hours at of time. I don't really know all of them like buddies but I see them playing normals and team builders. Could I convince them to play Ranked. I don't know. Some days I have a hard time convincing myself. I think they are skittish about meeting new people the same way I am. The net might not be helping bring people together after all.

The problem here is everyone looking for somebody around their skill level doesnt understand that you WILL do better with a premade team, so say youre bronze 1 and somebody in silver 3 is looking for teams they automatically assume youre a baddie cus your bronze and wont ranked team with you

granted there is the argument of: that means the silver 3 is playing as good as gold while youre only playing at silver 3 level

WHICH IS TRUE however to much emphasis is placed on how well you do when thrown into solo Q which no matter where you areyou get trolls/feeders/afks

and the extra burden of bronze players never being given a chance taken seriously no matter what bronze they are (bronze 1 players are actually good same as 2. its the 3 and belows that actually that ive seen while I climbed to bronze 1 from bronze 4) and then you have the high elo players saying "silver V is bronze noob" actually im pretty sure silver five is silver V if you want to give me that argument then then every rank is the rank below it which makes no sense because then bronze 4 would be the lowest

The difference in the top 3 leagues and the bottom 3 should be night and day but ramp up to it. The bottom 3 often makes up almost 75 percent leaving 25 for the others. That distribution curve is so ridiculous it says something about the nature of the game itself. There is a problem with champions and the strategy diversity. Riot knows most of this. I know its a business so as far as they are concerned I guess there isn't anything wrong with any of it. They look at the player pool, the rotation of drop offs vs new people picking it up and sales of those in the sweet spot.

I tell people all the time that this is one one of the most simple games i have seen. They say because of my rank I can't know what I am talking about. I guess history majors don't know anything cause they weren't there. In order to judge the attributes of something you must be able to create that unit at a master level. Sports commentators that have never played that sport at the PRO level, Shut the hell up!

I was wrong. I just looked it up. BRONZE AND SILVER ALONE make up 70%. Solo queue is a Bullshit system.

the problem isnt how many people are in a certain placement, its the communities Bullshit mentality that anyone below them is now a pleb and they shouldn't listen to anyone below them

I do see that a lot.

Put simply: most people don't have 4 other people that they can really count on to win games or even be online at the right times.

shame

thats how the game should be balanced:

around maximizing champion diversity in 5v5 premade at the challenger/LCS level.

i agree that ranked 5's should be more important than soloQ, and people that play SoloQ rarely play for just 1 game in a session which is usually their first argument as to why they don't play ranked 5's.

at the moment people see normals as a place to mess around, troll and try new things, and ranked is the epitome of competitive play and skill. ranked 5 is completely ignored.

you can be apart of 5 teams, that each have up to a 10 player squad, you need 4 more people from any of those teams to play a ranked 5's game.

even if you leave the team and there are people left inside of it, the team goes on, which means you can have flexibility if you believe you have outgrown one of the teams you are in you can leave and join another.

would be nice.

Teams are too serious for me honestly I subbed for a friend during my schools college team, and the stuff we did was more involving than I typically like to be in solo queue

Occams Raiser1 votes

I'm not quite sure what this means. If I understand you correctly, it was too much responsibility in and out of game? You are just a casual player that doesn't want either of those things. Solo queue is for you. Casual is cool. It just shouldn't really matter as much as it does.

Joe Dredd1 votes

What I'm trying to say is they are expecting more out of me than I am trying to give.

Occams Raiser1 votes

well if you were a part of bowling team they would expect you to show up on league night with your ball and your skill ready to go. What is the difference in this game? If you were in flag football league you would have some practice days. You either want to be a part of team or you don't no one would fault you for just being that guy that bowls alone on Monday special nights.

That's why I'm not on a bowling team

It's harder to find people that are on at the same time as you than you think.

Occams Raiser1 votes

Seems hard to believe that 5 out of nine people can't play once a week. Not buying it.
