What you guys seem to forget is what CotC replaced: Strength of the Ages.

A straight forward mastery that allowed Junglers to get extra tanky and do their job better, getting a free 300 hp in the mid game, making them spike harder and making them able to invest in offense rather than having to outright build a pure tank item.

Vi, J4, Elise, Nidalee, Graves, almost any Jungler used it, most of which not even being tanks.

So stop pretending that it's supposed to be an exclusive Tank toy because it really isn't. It should help divers do their job too, especially Junglers who lost the free 300 hp.

Hell, I ran SotA on Morde and I'm not complaining about Courage.

I'm not a fan of "CotC", I find "CoC" much better for pronunciation and brevity.

For example, I was using my CoC when Graves came out of a bush. I would have died to Graves if it were not for my massive CoC. Similarly, when Alistar knocks me up and uses his CoC, he's much harder to kill than if he didnt knock me up and use his CoC.

I've thought long and hard about CoC, and I'm glad that we live in a world where there is at least one CoC on a team.

Yeah, sure. But it's still meant to enhance defensive builds. This thing -> Riven shouldn't be able to use it for example. I can agree with the ''Make it scale of bonus Health'' threads, because champions like Hecarim would still be able to use it :P

That thing using CotC forfeits damage if she invests into the resolve tree.

With enough CDR, the windows where you can actually touch Riven's health bar on your own are already too short. She blocks your damage with her E shield, CC's you with her W and/or Q during it's downtime, repeat. CoC makes this even worse.

It also makes her trades even more oppressive than they already are for champions that aren't called Mordekaiser.

Because there are too many champions to focus boards hate on.

Personally I dislike fighting Hecarim with CoTC. Actually I dislike fighting Hecarim jungle in general because he's really good at diving and spreading chaos in teamfights while being very painful.

He's got the strengths of a diver and a juggernaut but without any of the weaknesses. I know he has weaknesses, I just don't know what they are.

He just snowballs so fucking hard. He's also got a similar strength to Zac in that wards don't really warn you because he's so fast.

Honestly I'm debating whether he or Kha'zix is the more important ban. I really need to learn how to fight him though.

?? Why would u not invest in attack speed? When i have the choice of 2% more dmg on abilities or one safe auto more per trade or even more on a champ like riven i'd take AS

well, with ani canceling you are generally getting the same number of autos off anyways. the 2% ability damage makes a pretty sizable difference especially considering her ults execute (inital combo took off more health and the ult gets the bonus too) Normally doesnt matter as 0/18/12 is definitely the way to go on riven except maybe with CotC making the 12/0/18 page a good pick against a burstier team where you don't want to get blown up when you go in.

The attack speed is good vs a tanky team where you are going to rely on getting off more auto's, but even then Rivens base AS isnt really the greatest, which means that mastery is adding very very little (4% AS is 1/3rd of a dagger). meaning just getting more out of your Q's could still be adding more damage considering you get 40/45% cdr.

Okay seems reasonable- I've never really played riven just from my pov i'd usually rather have AS when i'm playing top like nauti, darius or even on maokai. So is fervor of battle not a thing anymore on her? Now that it gives flat AD isn't it more worth than TLD?

I feel like the ad increase takes too long to stack to be worth it. I more go TLD because of intelligence giving an extra 5% cdr right before it. If ability hits stacked Fervor on every hit not with a cd I would probably go fervor though.

funny how only tank masteries are allowed to be used by other classes effectively. don't see any tanks running around with fervor. warlords deathfire or thunderlords.

Sad to say, but tanks generally don't have much room for outplay potential IMO. It's probably why people consider them the easiest class.

Tanks have comparable outplay to potential to ADCs. The reason they're considered the easiest class is because they are (in theory) the most forgiving. Misposition? Your tanky, so you'll be able to survive it. That sort of thing.

I played against a team with 4 CoC on their team. If it wasn't for the fact that they had a troll who went double jungle we would have lost. CoC is seriously broken atm and should be toned, it's ridiculous that you can get it on champions like Diana and be absolutely unkillable.
