Dont they both serve the same purpose? So why are they so different? Why does Heimers turrets have faster attack speed, more durability, and deal more damage? Further, is there even a reason to play Zyra when Heimer can do everything she can better?
LaowPing4 votesYou're seeing Zyra as a champ who is focused on creating plants to attack. That's part of her kit but it's not all she does.
Heim is more about defense and zone control while Zyra is more about her CC. Hiem can't root people as reliably as zyra can since his e has such a small zone that i can use to stun. Zyra's ult is also a great form of aoe CC which Hiem doesn't have.

It would be fun to actually see zyra's kit focus around her plants.

Kittenpaste Co2 votesI love her as support. It really seems to piss the enemy ADC off, when a plant or two its shooting them in the face. Keeps them from farming, a little bit.
