Getting a S rank means you scored a mastery rating amongst the highest (just under S+) percentile of players in your region using the same champion in the same role.
What it takes to get a high mastery rating nobody can tell you because Riot keeps it a secret.
So just play the game, have fun, and don't worry about it.
