[POLL] Do you feel Lux's passive meshes well with her kit?

Lux's passive, Illumination, isn't a bad passive by any stretch, but it has a problem: it doesn't mesh all that well with her kit. Lux is designed to always be at super-long range in fights, and NEVER wants to be in attack range because she's too squishy. Even during laning, using her autoattacks to poke an enemy Champion is treacherous, especially against all the mid-lane assassins who will kill her for getting so close. Whenever she's close enough to use Illumination procs on an enemy Champion, she's probably in a bad situation (i.e. someone dived her).

Now, this wouldn't be an issue if Lux had more than 550 attack range, but Riot surely won't increase that because it'd be "too safe". And even though Illumination increases the damage of Lux's laser, that kinda feels like a novelty at the moment. Lastly, when laning, Lux's low attack speed means that against minions, she'll realistically only get off 4 Illumination procs before the rest fade, increasing its limitations.

Lux's kit is definitely starting to show a bit of age, and while they fixed her passive's bug in the last patch, that really has nothing to do with kit health. IMO, her passive is one spot that really is obsolete on her because it's too dangerous to use on her.

Of course, all of the above is just my opinion, so take it with your NaCl.

idk, it helps with farming i guess then again that damage could just be transferred to her e

I feel like her passive gives some trade off to her long range, she can keep hitting you with her spells but she could do more damage if she added AA's. A 550 attack range puts her at the same length as most marksmen and to me that's descent, especially if most other mid laners have a lower range.
