@Riot About Sion

I'm not here asking for buffs: i'll enjoy Sion when he's strong and when he's weak. I want to discuss the fairness of changes that brought balance at the cost of my FUN. Riot, can i please have a bit of this FUN back? If the cost is cutting power somewhere else, i'm all for it! Let me explain myself:

Double-sided nerfing is BAD: you increased risk (mana cost) and reduced _reward _(damage) on his E-spamming, and made easier for the enemy to avoid my shield detonation in TWO different ways: nerfing shield numbers (to a negligible amount i'd say, since atm i don't even put a point in it in certain machups) and increasing detonation time. I absolutely HATE this change: it's super clunky, feels bad as fuck, it's boring and cheap... it really, really RUINS the feeling of playing Sion... I expected a much better solution, this one looks like it hasn't been tested out at all!

I don't understand why in league tanks are relegated to a sad, passive, "farm as much as you're allowed by the enemy" role. What i most enjoyed in Sion was his agressive lane gameplay. Now i'm basically forced into a flask start and Q maxing, shoving waves endlessly. Maxing Q makes my matchups more binary and less skill-based, creating a much less enjoyable experience for both me and my opponent.** I don't understand why a tank can't have lane presence and transition in a meat-wall later.** I'm not talking about an overbearing, immovable, lane bully, i'm saying that a tank with the fair amount of kill potential and agressiveness in lane isn't bad design by default. We all agree that Sion has plenty of counterplay through low mobility, low damage, telegraphed and dodgeable abilities: insist of those weaknesses in order to preserve and improve what makes his gameplay unique and fun; use creative solutions if needed; and please,** don't dismiss and water-down your player experience solely for the sake of balance**: the same problems can be solved in multiple ways, and finding the one's which is better is definitely worth it.

If someone's intrested in the discussion, i'll be happy to share my suggestions on the matter.

Thank you for reading.

Ok, dude? There's ZERO reason to NOT put a point into W early, it's free health for literally playing the game as intended in lane, and a bit of extra health shielding during ganks goes a long way to making sure you get out alive

you don't put a point in your shield in some match-ups????? It literally gives you hp for last hitting that's why you take it and to win trades

Continuing the discussion about Sions W, you realize that you can control its detonation time right? Just hit W again and it explodes. You don't have to wait for it to time out
