how do you exactly lane against fizz?

because if you play passive. and every time he leaves lanes and ganks he gets kills. and if you don't you just simply die in one combo. i really don't know what to do when i play against fizz.

Fizz does not kill you in one combo unless you've fed him all to shit or taken tower shots.

That said, the key to laning against fizz is a combination of not being afraid of him but also respecting his abilities, and not getting baited by the poll. Fizz is extraordinarily vulnerable to auto attack harass, so simply pepper him with autos whenever he's trying to CS early game. Watch how he positions and gain an understanding of when he wants to trade with you. If possible, force him to E into you in order to initiate the trade - and proceed to butcher him - but that's not always possible. So if he manages to Urchin in, then you need to use your abilities which cannot be / are very difficult to dodge with troll poll on him, and wait to use those easily avoided abilities when he attempts to disengage with poll.

No, no he cannot.

Fizz will "one combo" you if he hits level 6 unmolested, has ignited, and catches you a decent distance from your tower so he can lay a fair amount of W empowered auto attacks into you.

Guess what, any mid laner can kill you with ignite and ulti if they catch you out of position. Fizz is not unique in this regard, and honestly is easier to survive than quite a few others; I'd rather have fizz hit level 6 than Ahri or Syndra.

This is why my first bit of advice is to AA harass the crap out of fizz early game. Because levels 1-5 he won't have any shot of one comboing you, and you can deny him plenty of farm either out of fear of bad trades or simply making him back from harass.

so basically he can? I mean if he ults early and marks me. Es me twice. and has a lichbane i feel like he could one combo me.

Is this serious? You made a thread about** laning** against fizz, and your counter to my pointing out that Fizz can't one combo you early on... _Is that Fizz with a Lichbane can one-combo you? _ No shit sherlock, items make champions more effective. But how much are you feeding that fizz to ensure that he's got a bloody lichbane early in the laning phase, let alone level 6?

Incase you weren't aware, Draven with an IE will hurt and Trundle with a spirit visage will heal a lot. Oh, Tahm with a Warmogs is also difficult to kill. I guess these are all revelations for you though?

Whilst playing passive. Watch for when he leaves lane and MIA it. Even if it's a back. And be ready to counter gank him as well.

hes really hard to gank when he uses his untargetable ability

Ball up in the corner and Cry.

Really though, poke him early, always trade. Freeze the lane and attempt to use your mana only for fizz. Rush Hourglass if you are inexperienced or uncomfortable facing fizz. You can pop hourglass a second after his ultimate applied and negative all bonus damage AND the damage his ultimate will do. Thus, cutting down easily 50% of his damage.

Try to roam when Fizz roams, but keep distance from him.

Run Barrier/Flash.

He's weaker before he gets his sheen so he can't 100-0 you early, and he's melee with his only wave clear being his E, harass him while he goes to cs, shove him under turret and keep harassing him, kill him if he overstays, bully him early and don't let him get ahead, if he roams ping your team back and type it in chat as well, if you can see him on wards follow him and pincer him in with your team.

Fizz is one of the only mids that doesnt have any poke abillities. This means he is stronger than every other mid in melee combat. If you play a mage, you must stay out of his q/e range so he has to use BOTH gapclosers to get to you. Try to poke him, and if he uses E, move in and auto/poke him for 10 secs, as he cannot engage on you. If you miss your poke, or dont CS effectively, you will have to be zoned away from him, and you will miss CS. However, if u DO get him low, u can zone him extremely hard

If you are assassin, its a skill matchup. Dodge his fish at all costs (flash it!), and u can kill him without him killing you. Itemize for damage (also in runes + masteries), so you can oneshot him provided u juke the fish

If u can counterpick him, try Zed or Liss, or eventually Morgana.

Try playing him, and you'll see his weaknesses. He can't spam his e early game, so if you make him do that, he'll have to go back, or he'll be oom and can't dodge anything while trying to cs. Like other people have said, poke and harass him early. When I play fizz, the hardest time is early. If they're smart and poke and harass I can't do anything other than farm under turret, and that puts me behind. If they DON'T poke or harass, then its an easy game. I just farm until I get to lv 6, then all in and kill them. The key is early harass.

Once again, try playing him. You'll find out his weaknesses and see how to beat him.

Do people really still complain about Fizz. He's been nerfed almost as much as Kayle Olaf and Nid have and assassins in general aren't very strong right now. Honestly as long as you don't give him 2 kills or more 10 minutes in you should be fine.
