Countering vlad?

I tried inflicting grievous wounds on him but his crimson rush Q basically laughs it off, here's the info from the wiki

Active: After a 0.25-second delay Vladimir drains the lifeforce of the target enemy, dealing magic damage and healing himself.

Magic Damage: 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 (+ 60% AP)

Heal: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 (+ 35% AP)

Each cast of Transfusion generates a stack of Bloodthirst over its cooldown, which is displayed in his secondary resource bar. At 2 stacks, Vladimir gains Crimson Rush for 2.5 seconds and 10% bonus movement speed for 0.5 seconds.

Crimson Rush: Transfusion deals 85% increased damage and heals for an additional 30 - 200 (based on level) (+ 5% (+ 4% per 100 AP) missing health), reduced to 35% against minions.

Empowered Damage: 148 / 185 / 222 / 259 / 296 (+ 111% AP)

SERIOUSLY?! 111% OF HIS CURRENT AP?! you fucking serious? with healing 35% of the damage he basically can laugh off the grievous wounds and ignite effects, how do we even counter that?

now if I were to go over the sanguine pool as well this'd turn into a text wall, and I don't think anyone wants that.

Back up and don't let him use it on you, you can see the bar filling, walk away, wait for it to fade and force him to use it on a minion, or not at all.

not easy when he becomes faster than most mid laners and when he gets full CDR, have you seen a full CDR vlad? the transfusion is up like every 2 seconds.

Yes, I main him, was playing him well before he was considered a meta bot laner back when his win rate was sub 50%, anyway, not as hard as you think, just back up sooner, he is also all about scaling, his early to mid game is pretty meph compared to other damage dealers anyway.

It is, he forgoes the damage other champions have for his sustain, play him. He is all about late game and scales obscenely with items.

I have played him and wanted to die because I felt like a scumbag for doing so.

Is it still that low, huh.

Vlad takes a decent amount of skill to even pull off.

His winrate is that bad because he has the reputation of a brainless kill all champion which just isn't true.

The way to counter Vlad is to sue riot for the mental trauma they have done to you and the player base for making this champion. Only then you will counter Vladimir.

all I think should be done is remove/nerf crimson rush, cause that's too strong.

Fiora Kled Rumble Urgot Warwick Poppy

All do pretty well against vlad in my experience. Poppy basically ignores him and Ws whenever he tries to empower attack you. Warwick does lanewick things.

Urgot, kled, and rumble are rather self explanatiory.

Fiora hard counters any window-of-power champion.

Youre fighting vlad in the mid lane? What?

Ahri Annie Brand Cassiopeia Galio Lux Rumble Viktor

Ahri annie brand galio and lux simply do their "i punish immobile mages" thing.

Cass does her "i dont care about you" thing. Rumble does his "I just run at you and hurt" thing. Viktor does his russian punishment thing.

He's pretty strong right now. Party because of item 2065. Its the same - don't engage hard. Score your creep, proc manaband and that's it.

Anivia Talon Malzahar Brand Swain Ziggs Karthus Xerath Fizz Zoe

All of these mid laners can smash vlad no problem.

If you are not abusing vlads CDs that is your own problem.
