ADC is THE most tilting position, followed closely by jungle

Why? Because as ADC you need help to accomplish anything meaningful.

You need a support in lane, you need a front line in fights. You need your team to help you push objectives.

In the random queue, you'll run into tanks who hide behind their backline, tops who immediately back after winning a team fight instead of pushing an obj and supports who kill themselves multiple times in lane and don't ward.

All this means: getting fed on an ADC is not a win condition provided you don't have teammates willing to support you properly

Being a team based game is much more noticeable when playing adc than other roles. This doesn't make adc less important, it actually makes them the most important because of the high sustained damage in teamfights and against structures.

I played a game with Mundo and my teammate was Sejuani. Our Caitlyn died in a teamfight where we aced the enemy team. We went directly to Baron, which took the four of my team an incredibly long time to kill because we lacked the damage from our carry.

My Sejuani teammate, a Nidalee main most of the time was complaining that we, "Aren't doing any damage."

The ADC is an important role and when I play a tank I try my best to peel for them so they can push later. It's honestly tilting to see some tanks chasing down people while their adc is getting jumped, especially when we already have one tank doing it!

I see that last part in so many games. We start a decent TF, but then we get flanked by their jg and our tank is charging ahead trying to kill the 2 low health but mobile squishies, while the adc and supp (me) get torn up from behind.

Support can still support other people.

i ...don't get the point you are making tho.

If the support goes behind in lane, they can offer utility on their basic abilities to help out in teamfights. ADCs don't, and often need to rely on their team to live (and when they don't need to they get really dumb).

Supports would need their team as well, but they can provide more than the adc when behind.

I think the point Chad is making is that as a support, you're almost always supporting someone else whether it's the adc or mid laner or jungler. You said that a team game is more noticeable as an adc more than any other role.

Wouldn't support rely much more heavily on teammates than even the adc?

Ralanr2 votes

I don't think so as much because supports can actually influence their teammates while ADCs cannot.

Paquay3 votes

But supports rely on that teammate to do something. Whether supports are super tacky or have tons of cc, for the most part, they can't do anything on their own.

Wave clear, crap. Objective taking, crap. Solo kills, crap.

Adcs can sit there and afk farm or push objectives, but as a support you are pretty much entirely dependent on your teammates.

Ralanr2 votes

I guess. I've felt more reliant on my team as an adc than I ever have as a support.

Paquay1 votes

Well, if you get caught out, supports do tend to have better escape tools. But adcs can do a lot more that supports can't such as waveclear, siege, take drakes/Baron.

At least the enemy adc can do all those things. My adc can barely last hit. ;)

So they are team reliant. Gotcha.

I disagree. that only rings any truth if you are playing Ezreal, Lucian or Draven or any other ADC that offers nothing but damage. Champs like Ashe, Varus, Jhin and Caitlyn all provide utilities to the team that will always remain useful regardless of the fact that they are behind and unlike a Support can actually fend for themselves in plenty of situations, something supports don't have as luxury.

As a Support, you inherently play around your team in all situations. Behind r not, the ADC can be autonomous.

I appreciate players like you when I'm playing ADC or support.

Occasionally I get mid, so I tend to play stuff like Orianna or Karma so that when our support starts ignoring the ADC, I can help them. Had a game as Ahri where I literally just sat next to our ADC and used Charm whenever the Jax jumped on Jhin cause our Rakan was too busy engaging every fight.

So long as the ADC isn't doing something stupid like solo split pushing vs a TF Rengar comp, then I'll do my best to protect them.

The renekton hiding behind me and typing in chat "Vayne you're 21/4/10, you're fed, engage!". Never forget.

Support and tank can be as much tilting.

It's fun that when you worked your ass off by baiting and fooling the enemy to make a play and when you finally served up the whole enemy team hard CC-d... your adc and mid just turn back and go jungling :) Or when as a tank you say them that your ult is up, you will go in, right?, prepare, 3, 2, 1... and your team just leaves you there going in 4 different directions.

It's hard to play a game perfectly designed around teamplay with guys who don't really understand and don't even want to be part of any kind of teamplay :)

not related to be a tank or not^^ but i agree with

I disagree jungle is far more tilting than adc. ADC job is to afk farm for 15 minutes before even playing the game for any sort of objectives sans first turret. Jungle has to play the whole map and if they see people fail they tilt off the face of the earth. Riven players are even worse. Anyone dies a couple times or riven dies once they'll just tilt and feed.

6Sfool3 votes

ADC is tilting as hell, but I think Jungle is the least tilting. I play jungle because I want an impact, and nothing is more tilting than having your jungler ignore infernal drake until minute 20. If I jungle I have the most impact of whether we have the epic monsters, and I'm able to roam without consequence unlike toplaners.

Sun Wu Ryuumoku1 votes

Jungle is the least tilting ??? is it a joke ??

All laners think u need to won lane for them, and will cry for a gank and menace to afk...

6Sfool3 votes

People whining for ganks isn't tilting at all to me. I gank when it's convenient. It gets me fed, it gets my smartest laners fed, and I keep on top of the dragons. If one lane is losing hard I plan my routes and presence to maximize time near them, but what you should never do is force a risky gank on a losing lane because if it doesn't pay off things get even worse.

Jungling may not be easy, but whiny teammates are not even in my top 20 list of tilting things.

I think support is way more tilting . Without your team you can't even clear waves

The worst is when you play ADC in a trollish Normal where people pick a warped team comp like Ezreal mid, Lee support...

Its ALWAYS bad when you play these games as any role but its especially bad as ADC.

6Sfool4 votes

Nothing is worse than being an adc in a skirmisher comp. Fiora top, Yi jg, Yas mid, suddenly you are very expendable.

WitchQueen Annie3 votes

Definitely. You'll just get focused every team fight.

if your team is behind, you can't do anything to really help. If your team is ahead (because they snowballed), you basically won't be needed (you'll feel very useless, by the time you get there fight is over).

Lee support isn't that bad solely because he still does a shit ton of damage.

I hope you're kidding me

Well there was a Lee top who went Relic shield into and fucked me over... he was doing 400 damage with a single Q when I was low.

Sure he offers no protection but he doesn't need much gold to be effective, which is tilting as hell.

maybe you should stop expecting the team comp to revolve around you

if i want to play sniper poke sejuani i have every right to

and if i want to play turtle rammus you should accept that

and you better not say anything about my ap tank master yi

you just need to adapt, tbh

Spoofghoul2 votes

while noticeable when playing adc, it's just as noticeable when you play a tank because you truly lack the damage to do anything by yourself in the end you still have to take down objectives which takes a long time if you dont have damage

but it's a teamgame so we can rely on each other for the aspects our chosen role lacks

ultimately though i think the powerscaling is a problem

adc's scaling so well, retarded af and having the lategame purely reserved for themselves besides a few dps mages this increases neccesity for burst and burst protection and on and on and it's the root of many balance issues that will never be resolved until riot figures out that if early/lategame powerlevels don't have to be tied to classes then a lot of things will change for the better as we could have lategame scaling tanks who become nigh unkillable even for the strongest of damage dealers or supports whos utility becomes a nightmare to deal with as they scale up Adc's who are hard to deal with in the earlygame to make up for that scaling support pick Assassins could have different niches besides burst like an idiot to oneshot anything squish, think about assassinating objectives like baron, or sneaking past enemies with stealth and mobility to proxy farm a pushing enemy or plant a bomb on a low hp tower and kill it in retaliation providing utlity options later in the game when they fall off Allowing different way to scale into late game besides damage would be nice as it would bring back some strategy

League is a team game, and soloq which we all play might not always reflect how adc's gameplay should look like. You need peel, preferably some shielding - and chances are you wont get it, after all most players want to rely on themselves, and not the others. There is a benefit to it too - if you put yourself on a hypercarry, be it Kog'Maw/Twitch/Jinx you will see that noone can exceed your game impact, assuming your team is willing to put some resources into you.

DemainaNyx1 votes

Playing Lulu with a 16/2 Kog'Maw who gets deleted every teamfight. Zac top who's 0/7 and Nunu jungle who's 3/4 won't build a Knight's Vow cause they need Spirit Visage vs the Fiora, Jax, Yasuo, Draven, Janna comp... So tilting.

I understand why they want the Spirit Visage, but why not help me protect the person carrying the game instead of getting bonus healing.

All 4 champions do not rely on teammates if they have won lane, they rely on correct rotations, positioning when a fight happens, and reactive playstyles which is arguably one of the most difficult to keep consistent. Not everyday you can dodge a key skillshot with Flash across 20+ games, unless you're already a pro player. Your team amps up your presence and can work as a simple meatshield with these champs, so I can see why anyone not playing these ADCs would find the role tilting.

Stuff like Tristana Vayne Twitch typically need your team to not be losing, because even if you're fed, your power is late game, not mid game.

Its the price you pay as a position that has the capability to do ~1k dps minimum at full build.

Prugar Senpai1 votes

ADC needs help to accomplish anything meaningful. Support provides the help to accomplish anything meaningful (because let's be honest, support can't do anything alone) A tank needs dps behind him to accomplish anything meaningful.

The only ones that can function alone are the champions designed for toplane and splitpushing. Playing ADC is no more tilting than playing any of the other team-reliant roles.

The most tilting thing is your own teammates, telling you how to play.
