Fortification Buff - @RiotMeddler

A while back (too lazy to look up the specific patch) Riot gave outer turrets the Fortification buff to prevent the fast push strategy that was happening pretty much exclusively in the LCS. This is partially because they want to encourage players to engage each other in lane and partially because the global gold gained from the outer turrets was affecting build speeds in a strange and hard-to-balance way.

Well, now teams are going 3 man top and 3 man bot, completely avoiding each other and just pushing, giving the towers to their top laners, and still no interaction for the first five to six minutes of the game.

So I have a suggestion. It's clear that the bonus gold granted from turrets is too strong and that pro players will work around any buff you give the turrets in order to get that fast push off. So my suggestion is this:

Rework the Fortification buff to give turrets immunity to champion damage for the first 7 minutes.

You obviously have the coding for this. After all, turrets can't be damaged until their predecessors are destroyed. The lanes would be largely unaffected, in most elos trading is still happening at seven minutes. The only real effect this would have on non-pro games is A) giving less of a reward for super early level 3 ganks that manage to push a player out of lane or kill them, which is fine. You got the early kill gold or free CS, you don't need free damage to turret on top of that and B) preventing the enemy team from abusing a lane where one player did not connect at the start of the game but still may connect at 4 minutes or so.

Making Fortification prevent all champion damage to turrets for the first seven minutes would likely cause pro players to focus on each other and CSing again in the first seven minutes, instead of just trying to rush a turret faster than the enemy team. And it would help 4v5s out immensely! What do you think?

The alternative, of course, is having this fast push strategy at World's...

So I don't normally post on the forums(I'm just a lurker normally), but it seems to me you haven't been playing league long enough to know why that would be a bad idea. Once upon a time, there was a summoner spell called fortify. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Fortify

It was removed for stagnating the game. The idea being that you shouldn't punish players for finding new ways to win, unless that new way can't have anything be done about it.

Sure, but if the fast push strategy was bad for the LCS before, enough for Riot to change the entire game around it, what makes this slightly more aggressive fast push any different?
