Computer AI Games Lately

Not too long ago, it was actually nice to go into the Computer AI games. Unlike the regular and ranked, the environment had generally low toxicity and there was a somewhat friendly atmosphere. The only real drawback was the occasional appearance of bot/scripted players who would disconnect or feed the computer opponents. Despite that, one could go in there with the idea of practicing your skills and improving your play - even against AI opponents.

However, lately, there has been a bit of a negative vibe. I don't know if it is because of the assassin update (which now has every boy and his dog ganking lanes to see if they can break 30+ kills at the expense of the quality of other player's games) or the problems with ranked (which has led to more negative players appearing in other games).

I guess what I am asking is this: am I the only one who has been having less fun playing the AI games? I realize that there are custom game options, but I would like to get some IP while I am practicing - because there are still some runes and champions that I have not picked up yet. Can't add bots to customs using the updated client yet; there might be an influx of players from there.

I usually do my first win of the day on bots. I haven't noticed any increase in toxicity, personally. It's been at it's usual low but not entirely neglible level. Maybe you just are on a bad streak.

You might be right. It could be a combination of coincidentally running across the wrong types combined with the ol' observer effect.

The only thing I can say it's happening a lot is people not respecting lane calls, specially mid.
