Who would you actually take Summoner Specialist on?

I'm thinking that it'd be nice on everyone theoretically because you can get something like ignite everywhere but switch it out later on for other stuff, try to make an early play or something. But I just don't really think that it's worth it for a key stone unless they're gonna buff the 15% CD on summoner spells.

Compared to all other key stones it just doesn't add up for me personally. I just see a lot more consistent power in everything else. Maybe if you had a coordinated team it'd be cool though. Work around teleports, smites, having multiple ignites or exhausts, etc.

I wouldn't, personally, use Sumoner Specialist at all. It just doesn't fit to my Playstyle. But that being said, it can be used by pretty much any champ. All the power in that Keystone is being able to predict situations and to seize opportunities, you need to be ballsy and to take initiatives, to make things happen. So yes, that's not consistent, and that's not how I play (or like to play), but that doesn't depend on the champ you pick. And that can be very strong, but you need to be two steps ahead of your opponents.

farmer junglesr could abuse this as they could run TP early game ( like before the jungle item changes ) to farm fast and counter jungle fast.

i could see mid lane mages take this as there summoners have always flexed between summoner 12 summoner 14 summoner 21

I agree. I've seen people say that this will be so broken, but a lot of people seem to ignore the fact that to take this, you're losing out on other keystone runes with a much more direct impact on your play. The same with channel blink. Amazing ability. But it does mean you're sacrificing any other potential keystone for the added mobility, right?

Personally, I'm withholding my judgment on the whole system until I can see ALL of the new runes, what they do, and what I have to give up to take any particular one over another.

Channel Blink is a normal rune. It still does mean you're going into Inspiration primary or secondary and than losing out on all other normal runes. Yup.

Ah. Thank you for the clarification. I haven't been following the rune info very closely, because as I said, I want to see the whole picture before I decide what's good or bad. I assumed Channel Blink was a keystone. Didn't realize they were revealing non-keystone runes as well.

Here's a player made list of where all the runes are at, unfortunately I don't know the player who made it. Also go to Dev Corner to look at all the details of all the runes.

Thanks for the credit, mate ;)

Probably someone like renekton. He can easily abuse the early ignite then when he starts to fall off switch to tp.

edit: Just thought of supports running ignite and swapping for exhaust late game.

edit2: Yea its a very feast or famine rune, either you use it to get ahead or youre going to lack a keystone and be behind quite a bit. Theres always going to be premades that are gunna cheese with 5 smites etc though.

Maybe. Intelligence -> Perfect Timing -> Magical Footwear -> Summoner Specialist

Shaco, so I can ignite exhaust adcs.

You lose smite if you do that. I think going without smite on a jungler is pretty dangerous. Unless you're not jungling.

Oh... I haven't been following that in detail of this future train wreck. That's a shame. Thanks.
