I think he's weak against heal/shield redemption meta, not to mention tanks get so fat so fast that it makes brands midgame winrate go way down (like sewer level) im curious if you guys think that he's just a low elo cheese pick or actually viable in D3+? ive mained him since season 3 and i cant seem to get out of low diamond playing him

Khristophoros1 votesThe only way brand can proc ardent is with stoneborn + his Q stun but it's not reliable enough so you need rylai's. So he's not viable as a support in this meta.
If they fix ardent so non-ardent supports are not troll picks then he's ok but Vel'koz outclasses him in every imaginable way in both mid and support.

ya definitely and riot is looking at brand mid, PBE had some decent changes but they didnt go through. i think he just needs some better wave clear and maybe tone down his damage a little to compensate
Titanium701 votesIn theory... Brand should be quite a strong pick since he is great in "Burst-The-Frontline"-Meta. Can even DMG AND CC the Backline through the frontline and is a great Teamfighter...

Brand as a Champion screams DMG! Passive, Q, W, E, R - ALL PURE DMG! Like noone else! I want to feel that when playing him! The good AND the bad!
I'd really love Riot addressing Brand as aggressively as they did with Cho... that was an actually great move.
Since his so called rework - Brand is in such an awkward state.... I dont know... Same for Xerath essentially. And Swain can join the party as well!
These AP-Reworks were terrible. They all lost so many strenght that their whole idendity is in danger. All for the sake of covering some weaknesses or flat out nerfs - making them more boring to play/play against. (Guess you could throw LB into the same pot)
Like Swain: What's the point of playing against him... he does everything, you overpower him everywhere or get rekt! Old Swain you could push out of lane and made him cry even after he got a lead! But damn that reward you got when playing Swain well! That was amazing!
Dear RIOT: Reducing strenght and weaknesses is NOT the way to go if you want a interesting game. At leads the point where we are now: There is ONE viable caster: Syndra. Everyone else is just worse than Syndra and therefore bad! (The other Midlane Picks we see at worlds are unique in one way or another and that's why they have niches to fill and to be really good in!)
