Newsflash people: Mage counter has to do less damage to mages than mages do to him, or he won't be a mage counter :P

that he almost escaped that is ridiculous. what other champion can basically flash 4 times in 4 seconds. that is cancerous...god I hope he never gets buffed. If they nerf the cooldown on rift walk significantly I could see them giving him strength elsewhere for sure, but as long as he can do THAT he will be hard to give any stats too. that is scary as fuck.

he got OOM and died after blinking 4 times in 4 seconds. name another champion that has that kind of mobility.

Yasuo? IF there are creeps? not a blink though. ahri? not a blink.

seeing that, i can see why he stays in a nerfed state. he is obnoxious.

Also, to touch on the other issue you brought up. he is one of the ultimate anti ap mage. and if you don't believe so, just go play him against some of the classic ap mages. seriously its borderline unfair. He absolutely shits on Annie for example. Annie cannot trade with him. He will simply walk up to her, Q deal damage to her, get a magic damage shield and block her return damage. He used his mana and got damage off, she WASTED her mana. if she waits till shield wears off he is already backed off and staying safe till his Q is back up. rinse. repeat. eventually that shield becomes obnoxious. If you do manage to get through the shield he gets inherent 15% damage reduction already which is not to be understated. He's very very good against AP mages, especially those who cannot delete him early or bully him.

At kassadin's height, all I've heard are horror stories about how insanely overpowered he was. And after seeing that clip and how obnoxious he looks right NOW, imagine if he had more damage or utility or anything. he'd be pick or ban and that's just not good. we already have enough broken champions thank you.

Dude, I played a bunch of Kassadin while leveling my smurf against begginer bots. He can't trade with Annie, he can't even trade with tear Ryze. Try and play him. Also blinking 4 times in 4 seconds does nothing if you get killed anyway, and can't even do damage. I would happily trade his mobility for damage..

Even before that. Annie has better base damage, better scaling damage, and a stun..

Kassadin's shield lasts for 1.5seconds. All you have to do is not attack for "this and this" - how long did it take to read you that? That's how long his shield lasts..

He gets a flat 15% magic damage reduction that, from my understanding does not count towards any mr diminishing returns. So 15% flat, followed by mr reductions. He also has a shield on his Q which absorbs the magic damage further.

So to recap 15% reduced damage, followed by MR, followed by whats blocked by the shield=what he is actually hit for. You'd be extremely surprised how tanky he is if done right vs mages. His mobility is also insane, sure he died in that clip you put up but no one else would have even gotten that far from that shit storm.

Ever seen a kassadin get full build and a banshees just for the lulz? You won't fucking kill him and he will still one combo your carrie, get out, wait for CDs and go back in to one combo whoever else dares gets in his way.

Because his passive might work differently than MR? MR has diminishing returns, is calculated differently and if you have to wait until level 18 until you get the same effect basically you're screwed for the first 17 levels.

Also ignored unit collision is great.

His Q cancels channels, gives magic damage shield. His E is reliant on spell casts (something mage users intend to do a lot). Its not just his passive but other parts of his kits are just more effective against AP users than AD users.

Here is the thing with Kass you feed him 6 kills and nothing has changed. His moves have low damage not good ratios to compensate and who cares let him spam ultimate while he burns mana 800 mana cost flash is that wroth it
