The ironic complaint about team vs. solo carrying

chipndip1··2 votes·1,543 views

Regardless of how you put it, one person being bad will lose you the game.

In a team-oriented experience, your whole team can play around a bad lane phase or one person not being that good. However, one person dropping the ball means you all just up and lose, especially if it's late game.

In a solo-oriented experience, yeah you COULD be the guy that pops off and becomes literally unstoppable...but what if the guy that does ISN'T YOU? Now you're like 2/1/1 in lane, but the enemy Riven's running around going 12/2/7 and popping every anal cavity she comes across. Your whole game's ruined, and there's hardly anything you can do about it.

All because of one fucking moron.

So what you are saying is, if enemy has a very good player popping off, he will solo carry game? And if you have someone playing really good and carrying, you will win game? Your teammate isnt "bad" compared to you. He is probably same skilled as you. But opponent is always the factor. If opponent plays really good and beats your teammate, it doesnt mean your teammate is bad.

Basically, if enemy team is playing better that game than your team, they are going to win. If your team is playing better, you are going to win. Thats how it always was, thats how it is and thats how it always will be.

Instead of focusing on what your teammate did wrong, focus on what your enemy did right. You might learn something and improve.

You realize that these aren't my words, but a generalization of the forum's complaints, right?

If they'd just revert Kassadin to his season 3 version I could stop that 12-2-7 riven from being able to do anything in teamfights

But now YOU'RE the unstoppable wrecking ball because the enemy mid lane was a fucking idiot and threw the whole game.

You play safe, you ward and you farm, just like this 1/12 after 20 minutes Ashe did this past weekend. The rest of our team did the same and took no unnecessary risks and focused on objectives. Too many players will try and recover by trying to fight bad fights and make things worse and in the end blame it on, "one fucking moron".

In the end that Ashe became a 9/13 Ashe and we won the game and she got my honors.

I knew nobody I was playing with. I'm not an expert but you bet your ass that I try to listen to what the experts are saying and apply it the best that I can. My teammates at the time probably try and to do the same thing.

You and the players on your team obviously have much to learn.

It's never one person that loses the game, EVER.

I can only prove that BS wrong with my experience. Whether a player understands it or not is another whole entire story. Fact is, learning things about the game helps make a better player. Not learning things and pretending to play Mario Brothers or Pac-Man will not. All a person will get from not learning how to play the game will be grief and in turn make them spout off smartass type responses showing the true colors of that player.

You've jumped to too many conclusions about me off my one post.

No I didn't.

You have assumed that any of what I typed is me complaining about a personal grievance. Yes, you have jumped to too many conclusions just from that alone.

You clearly referred to me in that bolded statement in a passive-aggressive manner. If you're gonna be a bitch about calling someone out, at least come clean when you're caught doing it.

You literally said, in your first post to me, "You and the players on your team obviously have a lot to learn".

Don't come in here trying to take pot shots at me without taking responsibility for it. If you're gonna keep up with the stupid shit, the LEAST you could do is not be some unranked wanna-be.

You actually think you're slick. You're really just an ass.

You are literally proving all my points because you can't shut your trap. You are exactly the type of person that I am referring to. You are showing your true colors because you don't like that I provided my experience that one person doesn't lose the game. Now as a person of your type does when they get butthurt you resort to belittling and badgering. I could care less because you are just showing to be exactly the person I said would show.

I don't feel any difficulties in this League of legends.. Because I know, What can be done by me, and what cannot be done by me. What is controlled by me, and what is not controlled by me.

It's a team game. Play as a team, lose as a team. You talk about me, me , me. You have a GOD complex. But you can keep blaming 1 person all you want. You will drive yourself crazy till you understand that one person is not losing the game by themselves. Sad to say but when you actually experience it like I have and win regardless then you will understand. Maybe that's what it will take. Till then keep whining and bitching all you want if that is what makes you happy. Have a nice day.

I'd encourage a setting where the player is asked to become better rather than just to outlast his own frustration.

chipndip11 votes

The point is that this is the case in either scenario. If I'm a bad teammate, I make my team lose the game. The only difference is how it looks. Is it me getting bent over and ass-blasted in lane, or is it me flopping all my skill shots in a team fight at 37 minutes?

Stars Shaper1 votes

I used to be on both sides of the question here and in the past I could provide support and team value to the best perfomancers in our team and still have a chance. That is also a way to learn how to be better. Now if I ever am in the enemy vision in a weaken state I'm dead weight and not only I don't offer any kind of support I also provide more food to the enemy at the point that I'd be be better just not showing on the map entirely.

I think that rewarding good players with a good impact on the game is healthier enviroment than the one where you have to hope that the worse player is in the other team. The issue with "the weakest one decides the game" is that you can't carry, you can't be carried but you can be dragged down even if you are Faker against wood level players.
