God I miss'em. Variety was good.
And don't give me that "too hard to unlock crap" I two fully unlocked accounts that I I never put a dime into. If it was that big of an issue they could have just reduced the cost of the them. These days I just sit on tens of thousands of Blue Essense with nothing to spend it on, and hundreds of champ shards anyway. :/

If something improved, it was runes.
I prefer the old runes and masteries system back in 2013 [sg-ahri-1]
there is no variety with these runes. revert runes reforged
Honestly they could've made all runes cost nothing or just removed them completely (while retooling champion's ratios and base stats to compensate) while keeping the old mastery system. I felt like the old masteries were balanced by the time RIot removed them. Fervor wasn't ever as broken as Conqueror for example.
