Why is both the Client and the game itself very laggy lately?

Has gotten significantly worse this patch, the client will take up 25% cpu and constantly crash.

Client definitely sucks, it always lags at the worst times. But in game maybe I'll lag in the first 10 sec or so usually first bush I walk into but after that it usually normalizes. Not sure if that's what you mean since you weren't clear

I feel it so much too. Like in champ select if I scroll with my mouse it has like 5 second delay and is super laggy. Just in the last few patches :/

I tried updating the game earlier while playing another game (usually not an issue with this. I can download another game on steam for instance while playing another MMO, still running but at like 80/120 ms) and it was a freaking disaster. My PC completely crashed, had to restart it. At this point I'm going to uninstall it, between the client being laggy as hell, the updates breaking stuff all around and the huge FPS drop in game for no reason, I don't want to play a game doing this

Yeah, I don’t know why. Client is acting awful, even worse when I’m using Discord(which used to work fine with no lag) and the game itself has been dropping in performance; I’ve had to do so much optimizing just to not make the game choppy.

It's the client. Sometimes it takes up more resources then the game on high itself. Check how much system resources it takes up compared to similar launchers.

It's really buggy and poorly optimized.

Switch to low spec mode if you want to live.
