But AD can have it for super low cost and normally purchased on first back Holy shit i just noticed this thing only costs 1200g and it gives pretty good stats + free wave clear an you dont even have to upgrade it. playing vs any of these champs who lack wave clear as a weakness, its abosultely digusting how they can just aoe clear everything for free + it has health regen to ward off poke and it also counts as a AA reset on some champions combos. I think this item really needs to be looked at.

It doesn't actually give an auto reset unless you upgrade to Titanic Hydra. Tiamat itself (and Ravenous Hydra) just uses your auto animation for its active.

The raw stats aren't much better than a Pickaxe + Rejuvenation Bead either, and the passive makes lane freezing significantly more difficult (if not outright impossible), which is one of the most powerful defensive tools you can have in a losing lane. It's a strong item, but it has its tradeoffs and is not broken by any means.

(Also Talon's waveclear has never been particularly bad. In fact, he was known for having the best waveclear of any assassin before his rework, given he was once known for his AOE damage).

Pesonally I only have this problem with Assassins. They're not supposed to be outfarming waveclear mages, and yet they do because they get 100% AD scaling on a short cooldown with no resources to spend (auto-attacks) while Mages get shit for auto attack damage to farm with and have to wait longer for the minions to get low enough or just burn mana on waveclear then wait out the cooldown.

I'll prolly get downvoted for this, but in my opinion ONLY Marksmen should get the full benefit of their AD on autos. Every other AD should have to spend a resource like AP has to do. Or give AP bonus auto damage against minions, either way is fine by me.

Yes, because farming that extra 2 or 3 waves to clear that 100g gap between item 3077 and item 3802 is sooooo much trouble...

Seriously though, Lost Chapter pretty much clears up all your mana problems early on. You only have to worry about extended time away from base, and even then you can just play safe to regen mana.
