Idea for a fairer Galio nerf

Galio seems to be strong (to my poorly-ranked eyes) throughout most to all of the game. Recent nerfs to him have targeted his strengths instead of creating weaknesses. Instead of nerfing his Q to the ground, what if his W damage reduction got moved to his ultimate kinda like Sivir's W attack speed? It's already on his ultimate for the target anyway, and after watching various players tap W during laning phase for damage reduction I really think it'd be a good nerf for the health of the champion, and not just the health of the game (right now, it kinda feels like when Rengar players were pressing Q to swim forward a bit faster).

Galio nerf are you serious ? his ult must have an ally close to do so , he is the highest damage tank RN

Other tanks have high dmg, just are more exploitable early. This would take away a defensive tool until 6 and lower its power throughout the majority of the game.

I think instead, just make it so he doesn't get damage reduction if he doesn't successfully taunt someone.

In exchange, give him some of that waveclear power back, since strong waveclear has always been a pretty iconic part of Galio, in the old kit and in this one.

That's a good point, maybe he takes the damage negated during the channel if he doesn't hit anyone? Like a bleed or something
