Gut event horizion needs a full overhaul even with a 1.5 delay it would still be the best stun in the game bar none

Gut teleport Half the reason veigars broken as he has no counterplay with it same reason nasus was broken because teleport made him have no counterplay

veigars burst is 100% fine everything wrong with veigar has and always will be his e

Veigar is not broken. There are so many better cc abilities in the game than his cage. You think it's bad now? Don't you remember that a couple of months ago it was instant cast? No warning, just pop you're stuned, you're dead.

Never mind that Sona has a stun with only a marginally smaller area of effectiveness, but it also stuns everyone in that area for longer than event horizon. What, going to argue that you have to be right next to her? Fair point, she can't put it anywhere she wants. What about Zyra? Her stun is also a knockup, and sweet Christ, does this thing have a huge AoE. I know these are ults, but I hate people like you that say his stun is the best cc in the game with a 1.5 second delay on it, but a month ago thought it was garbage because it wasn't instant cast anymore.

He has counterplay; in fact, I met a diamond smurf that the new Veigar couldn't touch. When that wall particle effect comes up, he is out of the way. Even if he's inside the range of it, he'll still be able to sidestep Veigar's W and probably his Q... his W has a huge delay and isn't nearly big enough to guarantee a hit if the stun doesn't land. Your Q at lower levels is a joke, so even if it does hit, it would have been much more effective to last hit a minion with it than to poke with it.

Trust me, I'm a Veigar main and have been pretty much since the rework dropped; you're just mad because he was unpopular, so no one knows how to deal with him at your level of play, so when he starts popping up, people think it's unfair instead of just doing what they did when he fell out of favor with the community. The same thing happened to Kayle a while back, and recently happened in Bronze with Xin. I just say which division because it may be different at Silver and higher.

But veigar's stun is longer and it traps people inside of it even if they didnt get hit by the stun

Stun Duration: 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5. Dam you're such a veigar main that u dont even know that veigar has the longest hard cc in the game not including tahm's devour/max range ashe ult!!!!! Note that i said HARD cc so dont give me some morg shit

Ok, if it's hard cc, that's fine. What's the problem with getting stuck inside? I may have been mistaken on the stun's duration, but you totally missed all of my other points. You can't just say "I've answered to one argument out of 3, I totally proved him wrong."

In fact, here is a list of champions that can get out of his cage without burning flash or getting stunned:

Ezreal Ekko Leblanc Fizz Katarina MasterYi Morgana (or any champion that morg puts black shield on, if we want to be technical) Olaf Sivir Urgot TwistedFate Zed Sion Fiora < - Fiora can only prevent it from landing, but it still works if you position yourself to catch it and counter it.

Plenty more exist that can still do tons of damage without getting stunned or killed.

I also want you to ask yourself: was Veigar this good before his rework? Was he better? If so, why was he not picked all the time back then? The point is, Event Horizon is not broken; it's too easy to dodge in its current state. It is just a punishment because you can't dodge, or have bad positioning.

lol ill be sure to use my ult to escape veigar stun. It's not like it's snaring myself anyways. You're gonna immobilize yourself to prevent yourself from being stunned. What's the point lol Ekko has to have a minion to blink to, so does yi.

DeloricVI1 votes

Again, you aren't answering all my questions. I'm giving you answers for how you can escape the cage if you really need to, and most of the time you really don't. I also don't know who the whole snaring yourself thing is from?

Also, Ekko and Yi need a minion to jump to... so, you might want to stay close to minions just in case? Just a thought.

Honestly, I'm surprised that someone in Gold is doing this much complaining; I know you're not going to be perfect players, but honestly you're acting a lot like the people that complain about things in bronze. I know, because I'm currently in bronze, and you wouldn't believe the number of people that complain about champions like Pantheon, Thresh, and even Nunu. Fucking NUNU.

You still failed to address the fact that the cage can be prevented from having much of an effect on you at all via dodging and not being in a position to be trapped in the first place.

Funny how you can't think of any way around that particular argument.

You want Riot to listen to the community? Veigar's current state of balance is considered "broken" because they listened to the community.

The delay was added to his E in his gameplay update. The community bitched about the delay being too long so the time was decreased and then was again changed to start on cast instead of after the animation further decreasing the time. Even then the community bitched about it being too weak so it also got a knock down.

Riot does listen to the community. For the longest time people were complaining that the nerfs they threw on him gutted him to shit, and that he was too weak. Then they buffed him and now he's too strong.

Also, it's not as simple as you explained. You can't just blindly nerf and buff stuff on a whim, especially summoner spells. It changes the whole game dynamic.

The damage on his ult is now insane. The Cooldown of his stun is insane. thats all really.

"same reason nasus was broken because teleport no counterplay"

Teleport is now metagame, Nasus is weaker than before, when he wasn't broken. The only time Nasus was arguably broken was when he was spammed in competitive as a jungler in s3.

Nice logic you got there.

Let's also ignore the fact that post nerfs Veigar winrate completely shut down to normal levels.

Honestly, his E isn't that bad and also is his thing. I think his ultimate needs to nerfed to hell and back though. I mean seriously, he builds tons of AP and then a % of targets AP? Who ever made that was smoking crack. Oh, less we forget its not even a skill shot. cmon rito.
