Got ass handed to me by Yasuo but pissed at windwalls hitbox.

At one point we had a team fight going and his wall was facing me...I stepped around the dumb thing completely out of the animation went to shoot the Yas and....Nothing no projectile to get eaten nothing. Why is it's hitbox so wildly fucking different from the animation?

Because it would require skill if it's hitbox wasn't huge.

Boo Koo God2 votes

Well that is a true statement.

Thefrostyviking18 votes

Because if it wasnt weird as hell how is he supposed to throw his windwall in the opposite direction of the incoming projectile and still block it while giving no fks?

i think this is perfectly fair

Because for some fucking reason, riot likes making animations flat out lie to you.

SammyDayspring4 votes

Riot always makes these hitboxes crazy so that players don't have to have skill. So we're supposed to guess what might work against them.

I never play Yasuo, ended up with him in ARAM and thought, crap I have no idea what I am doing, and I still rolled people. His play is a little tricky, but his windwall isn't. I abused that to no end ahaha. (I did feel like I sold my soul when I played him).

I don't get why people keep saying Yasuo is a high skillcap champion. He's completely braindead. Mostly because his W is a sphere of invulnerability to everything that can be used as a panic button whenever he might get punished for playing super aggressively.

Saezio2 votes

They need to make it block stuff from ONE WAY and yasuo can change that side by walking through the wall. this will mean Good yasuo's will still be able to block much shit while bad yasuo's will be fucked a bit. But riot never makes champs harder/more intricate so :/

5 years and counting, and people still refuse to git gud vs Windwall.

5 years and counting and yasuo players still don't have to git gud in using his windwall for it to be duel or team fight deciding

Death by Glamour18 votes

You seem to have forgotten the time when Huni said it was the most broken ability in the game.

I guess a world champion toplaner has to "git gud" in your opinion

Infernape9 votes

Dopa also said Yasuo's a broken champ.

Spicy Rice2 votes

Dopa also mained tf when he said that, as well as several other champs who are considered to be countered by yasuo.

Voken1 votes

Well Dopa doesn't know everything but doing elo boosting is pretty strange huh. Still just being considered the top booster in the world doesn't mean everything.

Sewer Side2 votes

You seem to have forgotten how most players complain about one thing or another being the most broken thing and holds no real credibility besides shit you want to hear that supports your limited view.

Yikes hun.

The fact that you are defending such a thing is crazy really. The dude MISSAIMED HIS W. OH WAIT NEVERMIND IT CAN STILL PROTECT HIM.

Oh wow a champion has an ability to defend themselves. How dare they

Wow the player literally missed the ability (used the wrong angle). How dare i propose that he should be punished for missing it.

Are you fucking kidding me? Do i get to stun my enemy as xerath when i miss? No. Then why can he block a spell when he throws it in the wrong direction?

Sewer Side1 votes

I mean, the ability starts from behind him and pushes forward, so you got outplayed if you think he missed lmao

And why exactly should it start from behind him? Does he need a 360 degree protection bubble? Again, my stun as xerath is not 360. Why should his be?

Would Yasuo even be that frustrating of a champion if his windwall wasn't tweaked a little.

ArfBarkBoof3 votes

Yes?

Virtually everything about Yasuo's kit is full of bloat.

Tobykachu1 votes

Such as what? What about his kit is any more frustrating that any other similar champion?

ArfBarkBoof2 votes

His Q's cooldown counts as an auto attack and can knock you up on the third cast if he aims it right. He still has double the crit chance that he's always had so he comes online earlier than say, Tryndamere. Has a high mobility dash that still does magical damage with a literal 0.1-second cooldown. His critical strikes passively ignore 50% of your armor when he ultimates you for 15 seconds.

Tobykachu1 votes

Literally every champion in the game sounds broken and unfun if you phrase it like that. Omg Vel'Koz has such a long range spammable skill-shot that splits in two at max range so you can get even more range and also restores mana if it kills a target! He has an AoE knock up! His ult deals over 1k AoE TRUE DAMAGE late game!!

Sure Yasuo Q counts as an auto attack, but it's range is extremely short and unless he's directly on top of you, you're probably not getting hit by it. Sure he gets double crit chance, but Tryndamere gets crit chance from his passive and it does no less damage than a regular champion. His dash requires a target and he can't dash to the same target for prolonged periods of time.

Sure he'd probably still be quite frustrating, but would he be anymore so than most champions if you really think about it?

Jenivie1 votes

"unless he's directly on top of you, you're probably not getting hit by it." I call BS. If youre anywhere near a minion wave youre screwed, he can stick to you like glue and you know it.

Tobykachu1 votes

If you're getting hit by his Q when he's not on top of you then Idk what to say. His range literally is not long enough to hit you otherwise. He can stick to you super easily, but so can many champions.

I'ma be honest, I mained Yas for a time (so yes, call me a heathen if you want), but now that i've experienced the receiving end of this ability more times than not, its a tad bit obnoxious. I had a moment where I was playing someone ranged, Yas was one hit from death, and somehow my auto that wasn't going through the windwall clipped a invisible hitbox and ate the auto. I soon died afterwards. The ability could use a change (and his passive, this whole crit pigeonholding this is honestly just old. I'd rather have his R buff grant him double crit chance instead of bonus arm pen. Crit stuff like him and Trynd need some weaknesses more than just plain out ones for obtaining such power.

Jennifer4201 votes

his windwalls hitbox is so broken, you can have a 6 stacks cho guts stand in the middle of it and have 5 adcs attack the cho and noone will hit him lol

Kenvo1 votes

Great job!

SanKakU1 votes

I doubt it's a hitbox thing and more of a generic skillshots random inaccurate visual representation thing. I've had less and less of a problem with Yasuo's windwall as I'm pretty sure they did a lot to it recently to make it feel more fair.
