What does Dynamic Queue offer that Team Builder didn't?

I hear a lot about how Riot wants to encourage players for playing with friends and how they want to reduce the amount of toxicity in a game. For ranked, I can fully understand how this can work, solo queue for ranked can be somewhat stressful, and I do think some of the core problems that solo ranked had could be resolved in this new method of champion select.

That being said, I must ask this: Why was Team Builder replaced for the normal queue? If you want to play with your friends in such an easy way, then everything is in front of you and you could wait for someone to fill in the gaps if you needed to. Your friends might have a predetermined idea of what they want and carefully plan things out (if they cared all that much), then Team Builder did just that. Now that I think about it, though. I guess the better question would be this:

What does Dynamic Queue offer to players, that Team Builder didn't have to offer? Specifically for this idea of playing with your friends.

Edit: It seemed like my question was glaringly obvious, sorry about that. [zombie-nunu-tears]

Because normal mode is really practice mode, so teaching people to use dynamic queue (which some people do find very confusing) is part of normal mode's job now.

bans no blind counterpicks from the start you can choose a summoner spell that best suites your matchup

Not really team related, sorry, but my favorite part of it is that it lets you ban things, so you're not just up against preposterously OP team comps.

You mean beside:

  • Banns
  • Reasonable Q time
  • Interaction (known as Picks+Counterpicks and Teamcomps)
  • Useable in Compeditive

???

The bad thing about DynamicQ is the dynmaic Q not the Champselect.

I like being able to make my own damn ban and guaranteed (almost) a spot in which I choose. I do not like jungle or top lane so I simply queue for the two lanes that I want.
