Can you guys at Riot please allow us to turn off pings from certain players who use it offensively. The Champ refused to stop spamming pings even though he/she was asked repeatedly by all in game. This is the second game were I had to turn off the sounds for every ones ping because one person was ping spamming. After the game I then had to create a custom game to turn them back on again. I reported this but having to rely on your banning system instead of being able to Ping-Mute the spammer doesn't help a team in-game. Currently your Mute DOES NOT include players Pings. Also please be aware that there are some players in game that are attempting to Bait other players into getting themselves banned by frustrating them into using foul Language. The Champ who was spamming last time in my game was attempting this in the post game chat.

This sort of Behavour should not be tolerated and should actively perm banned from League.

I strongly agree. The option should exist in game.

This is a fantastic idea and i'm not sure why it hasn't been implemented yet. I find when you mute someone, they will just spam ping because they know they can.

Another ping annoyance is that you can't tell who's spamming the "basic" ping.

This one time I was jungling, and the bot lane was standing by waiting to leash. Someone started pinging on the camp with the basic ping (the one that you can't tell who's doing it). Over and over again, until the camp spawned. Needless to say, everyone was telling me to stop being such a jackass, but it wasn't even me pinging!

For maximum effectiveness, such a ping mute function should ideally also indicate who is pinging. Perhaps the "mute ping" button could light up every time that player pings?

Pings can be muted in the game client settings.

I post a thread about muting ping sounds from players of your choice and get downvoted to hell. Someone else posts a thread about muting ping sounds from players of your choice and gets 20+ upvotes.
