Some stuff I learned with a coach
So, some people told me that paid coaching is a waste of money but I kinda enjoyed my lessons and felt like they helped a lot. Here's some stuff I was taught, for anyone interested!
-Losing lane graciously is a very important thing. If you're simply outclassed skill-wise or get countered, just sit under your turret. Unless it's a Nasus or a Veigar, it's better to let the enemy have as much farm as they want rather than dying+giving them the farm. -If you're mid and can't win your lane, always look for roaming opportunities. -If someone pings MIA, ALWAYS check the condition of their lane. If you see the enemy's minions at your turret, it's safe to assume you will not be getting a follow-up on any roams that may happen. -If you outshove your enemy but can't spot a roaming opportunity, just move to an area where the enemy won't have vision of you, as this creates panic, due to the enemy still being worried about a roam or jungle invade. -Control wards are everyone's job. -Don't insut your teammates in any way. It creates a reason for people to int or play more poorly. -Early on, if you can, a mid laner should ward enemy raptor's, as this almost always gives crucial info as to where the enemy jungler is. -You don't always have to beat the shit out of your laner. Objectives and good rotations can give just as good an edge as kills, if not better, especially in even games. -Stop throwing out kills and play safe. In low elo, players tend to die a lot. Keep in mind 15 ish cs is basically worth one kill. -Never do nothing when your enemy laner is roaming. Either grab turret plating or follow. -Objectives are great, but there are exceptions; for example, you wouldn't want to have your entire team die for ocean drake while Baron is up.
