Support Heimerdinger(Rocketdinger)

The basic premise behind building Rocketdinger Support. It's got really strong poke via the rockets and plays like many other poke based AP supports, with the hope of heavily damaging the enemy and setting up a kill or driving them out of lane. At the same time it still has the grenade for stun and the turrets to zone and also poke(Once again placed in the brush, away from the minion wave, reducing the chance of them attacking and revealing themselves, and reducing the chance of stealing CS). And in the early phase of play you do provide a nice amount of passive regen based sustain to your lane partner(though this does fall off some later).

Now some relevant numbers: At level one with zero AP a full volley of rockets proccing both Tribute and Thunderlord's will deal 148 damage. My build starts with 20 AP so in total at level one I deal 166 damage with one volley(or 124 damage without procs) I believe this is one of the highest single use level one damaging ability in the game(aside from maybe a critical headshot from caitlyn after someone steps in a trap)(or a Nidalee spear at max range for 204 damage). Rockets cost 70 mana at rank 1, have a static cooldown of 11 secs, and a range of 1100. With my build I have 408 mana and regen at a rate of 2.2/sec at level one. On average I get Frostfang by level 7 typically at about 11 minutes in. At that point my Rocket volley(rank 4) will deal 385 damage without AP and Proccing tribute and Thunderlord's, with 30AP I deal 402 damage with procs and 294 damage without. On average I finish my frost queens and Rylai's before games end(21-25 mins) with an average of 175AP at level 12 with rank 5 rockets. At this time a full volley of rockets deal 648 damage with all procs, or 465 without any procs.

Base damage of rank 5 rocket(maxed for all hitting the same target): 324 damage with an AP scale of 81% at 175 AP for an additional 141.75 =465~ Tribute= 15/stack, 3 stacks=45 damage. Thunderlord's=10xlevel(120)+10%ap(17.5)=137.5 damge Total 648.25 damage. Final note for this section: it only takes 3 rockets for a full proc, so at level 1 if only 3 hit but it procs both tribute and Thunderlord's it deals 138 damage this is what I call the "Safe spread" where you aim the spread just in front of the target to increase the chance of hitting(3 out of 5 aint bad...).

My build: Build path: W>E>Q>W>W>R>W>QorE>W Or R>W>QorE Items; Spell thief's Edge+3pots start > Sightstone+Fairycharm > Frostfang(and fiendish if I can afford it) > Frost Queens > Rylai's asap and Lucidity boots(Average game end build) > Morellonimocon > Liandry's Torment...eventually. Runes: To allow for effective early game liberal use of the rockets I use my AP support Rune page which is as follows. 9Magic pen Marks, 9 mana regen Seals, 9 Raw Mana Glyphs, 3 AP quints.(If you want you can swap the glyphs for other runes but I like the raw amount of mana). Masteries: 0/18/12: Wanderer, secret stash, Meditation, Dangerous Game, Intelligence, Thunderlord's Decree. Recovery, Explorer, Runic Armor, Perseverance.
